If there's one thing we learned from this edition of Readers' Choice TenSpot, it's that our readers can be really, really mean.

Not that there weren't a number of thoughtful responses. But for each one that articulated the reasons why a particular game's ending was a letdown, there were two or three that would say, succinctly, "sux" or "crap." In fact, "crap" may have been the most common word among the responses. And many responses were filled with such litanies of vitriol that they would have made William S. Burroughs blush.

What this means, though, is simply that you want to be suitably rewarded by a game ending as much as we do. And if the number of responses bemoaning the lack of fitting conclusions is any indication, it seems that you don't feel that developers are delivering.

As for the few of you who voted for Windows Solitaire as the most disappointing ending, we must disagree. The bouncing cards of Solitaire are much more satisfying than some of the games that actually made it to your Top Ten.
