Mycon Deep Children

Your tech team, after studying numerous Precursor artifacts, have discovered that the Mycon are Precursor terraforming units that have enslaved the Deep Children. The Mycon wipe the memories of the sentient Deep Children, which is a direct violation of League laws protecting the rights of sentient beings. Go to Janus 8 and confront the Mycon. They acknowledge wiping the Deep Children’s memories, but deny their enslavement. Insist that you speak to a Deep Child. The Mycon reluctantly agree, and soon a Deep Child appears eager to talk. It is tired of being enslaved and those like it wish to be free. Now you must make a difficult decision. If you free the Deep Children, you will make an enemy of the Mycon, but if you let it continue, you risk being kicked out of the League. It is better in the long run to free the Deep Children. Even though you lose the Mycon, you gain the Deep Children as allies.

Ur-Quan Civil War

Seventy days after the war begins, the Ur-Quan send out a distress call (only if there is more than 1 Ur-Quan colony). Go to a Ur-Quan colony that shows up on the map as an enemy. You soon will face the dreaded Kohr-Ah and their Marauders. They have rebelled and have restarted their Eternal Doctrine. Stay away from the rebel colonies and think hard when starting new Ur-Quan colonies, as they could easily turn against you as well. The home colony is immune from the rebellion and will continue to provide you with Dreadnoughts.

The Ploxis

At a point during the war, you receive a strange message from the Ploxis CEO. He wants a meeting with you, and advises you to meet him in the Calliope system. He will offer you membership in the Crux. Play along with him to get info about the other Crux races, but do not join the Crux. If you do, he will destroy your ship.

Curing the Harika-Yorn

After you meet the Harika-Yorn and find out about their disease, offer to cure it. Find a Daktaklakpak ship, and ask them about the disease. They will tell you about the plague and will refuse to cure it, because it makes the Harika more aggressive. Next, go to your Spathi spies and ask them about the disease. They will tell you that the disease was created by the Daktak. They also tell you that another name for the disease is the Xchagger. Seek out a Daktak ship, and confront them with this evidence. They boast about how they have made an ally of the Harika by hurting them with K’tang micro technology. Do not go back to the Harika with this information. They will only accuse you of lying and they will attack. Go to the K’tang home colony and ask them about their microbial war w/the Harika. They tell of an infected pod located at Zosma 6. Go there, and you will meet the Xchaggers. If you invite them to join the League, they will accept. Ask them about the plague, and they say they aren’t the cause. Get them to allow you to examine them. Your tech team will discover that the Xchaggers indeed will cause the Harika to become sick. A few days later your tech team will discover a cure for the disease. They call it the Xchagger Eradicator Serum, but it will kill any Xchagger Lost Dynasties (which is what makes the Harika sick) that the Harika have ingested. The Xchaggers want you to rescue the Lost Dynasties without killing them. Go to the Harika home colony. The Harika, having learned that you can cure their plague, demand that you do so. You now have 2 choices, whether or not to cure the plague. You should choose the latter, because giving the Harika the cure will kill the Lost Dynasties and cause the League members to revolt. Offer instead to take some of the comatose Harika. Your tech team announces that they can remove the Lost Dynasties from the Harika, but will need some of their ships to store them. Go back and ask the Xchaggers for some of their ships. Next your tech team will tell you that they have assembled a Xchagger Absorber. Now go to the Harika home colony and cure the Harika. After all of the Harika have been cured, offer them membership in the league (they will accept).

The Doog

Go to the Spathi home colony and ask them for more info about the Crux. They will tell you about the Doogs debt to the Crux. Go to any Doog colony and ask them about their debt. Tell them about the plot to keep them in debt to the Ploxis. Then offer to buy them out of debt. The Doogs accept. Go to each Doog colony and buy them out of debt. Once you buy a Doog colony out of debt, the colony and any ships become available to you. Once all Doog colonies are free, they will join the League. Ask them for the Antimatter Containment Grid. The loss of the Doog colonies is a crippling blow to the Crux, and a major turning point in the war.

The Lk

During the war, your tech team will announce that they have discovered the location of a QuasiSpace portal in the Azazel system. They tell you that the portal leads to a large cache of Precursor artifacts. Go to the Azazel system and travel through the portal. The area is guarded by alien ships. These are the Lk, and they will attack you, so destroy all of the attacking vessels. The Lk home colony is located on QSG 2. Go talk to them and tell them that you are not part of the Hegemonic Crux. They ask you to obtain the Red Spiral Rail for them. They tell you that the Rail is located somewhere in the Antaeus system guarded by the Daktak. Go to the Antaeus system, defeat the Daktak fleet, and bring back the Rail to the Lk. The Lk will not join the League, but they will answer any questions that you ask them.
