Earth Colony

When the game begins, you find out that all of the other League races arrived scattered throughout the quadrant. You arrive in the Helios system, the home of the Human colony. Go to the colony, talk to the colonists, and get any ships and resources that they have. Go to the 4th planet of the solar system. There you will find a ship manned by robots with an unintelligible dialect. They will attack, so defend yourself. This will help you familiarize with the combat controls. You will encounter these strange robots on numerous occasions, usually in orbit of planets containing Precursor artifacts. After you have defeated the drone ship, scan the planet for anomalies. You will find your first Precursor artifact. Your next priority is to find the other League colonies.

Arilou Arrival and the Orz

Soon after you locate all of the League home colonies, you will be graced with the arrival of the Arilouleelay. Find out as much information from them as possible. They warn you of the Supox’s demise, and give you coordinates to a QuasiSpace portal. Go to the portal and locate the Orz ship. Talk to them, and try to persuade them to join your fleet. Go through the portal and visit the Orz colony at the other side.

Mycon Colony Raids

After the first 30 days, you will start to receive distress calls from the Mycon home colony. They tell you that the attackers are VUX. They will continue to attack the Mycon colony every 10 days. Go to the VUX home colony and confront the VUX. The VUX in charge denies all knowledge of the attacks and blames them on a band of VUX raiders. You need to defeat the raiders several times in combat before they will stop attacking the VUX.

Hegemonic Crux: First Contact

While exploring the neighboring systems, you will eventually encounter several members of the Hegemonic Crux, the "bad guys".

Daktaklakpak At first, you will not be able to understand them, but eventually your tech teams will develop a device capable of crudely translating their language. Try to get them, and all other aliens you meet to join up with you. While most of them will decline, you might curry some favor with some.

Doogs These rather odd creatures always seem too busy to talk with you. They don’t want to fight you, but they also won’t stop working for the Crux.

K’tang The K’tang are the military arm of the Crux. They seek to destroy all that oppose them. They will attack you with the slightest provocation, so don’t do anything to anger them. If you bolster their enormous egos, they will provide inadvertently provide information about other members of the Crux.

Harika-Yorn The Harika-Yorn should be treated the same way as the K’tang. They are easily angered, and will fight you on a moment’s notice. Find out what has enraged them, and offer to help them solve it.

Clairconctlar The Clairconctlar are a noble race, and apparently not very fond of conversation. They will not reveal why they are aligned with the Crux, and they will not join you. It is best not to push this race into battle also.

Stellar Destruction

Picus System Several days after you have found all the League colonies and cleared them of all Daktaklakpak ships, or on day 100, the Picus system suddenly disintegrates. Go to what’s left of the system and scan the region to find out what has happened.

Eltanin System After you have met all of the Crux races (except the Ploxis), you receive a message from the Clairconctlar about strange events in the Eltanin system. The system then collapses. Go to the system and investigate.

Tyche System 100 days after the war begins, the Tyche system collapses. Go to the system and investigate.

The War Begins

When you arrive at the destroyed Eltanin system, you are confronted by a Crux battle fleet. They accuse you of causing the destruction, and demand that you leave the Kessarri Quadrant. Refuse their demands, and then defend yourself from their assault. Now that you are officially at war with the Crux, you can begin to attack any and all Crux ships you encounter.
