1999 is coming to a close, and surprisingly, it has been a good year for gaming. Quake III Arena, Unreal Tournament, Rogue Spear, Age of Empires II, Tiberian Sun, and Homeworld were but a few gems this year. But if we remember our Newtonian physics right, then, there should be an opposite reaction to the batch of excellent games, and indeed there was. 1999 has seen its fair share of duds, and our editors were asked to pick their biggest disappointments of the year. It was tough, and some of us just didn't have the guts to go on record to publicly denounce a game. But then, the majority of us could and did indict a number of shamefully bad games.
