Games are primarily a diversion, and while many gamers take them more seriously than other forms of entertainment, in the end games are meant to be fun. One way game developers have tried to entertain players is through the use of humor. Traditionally, humor has been used in adventure games - although it has appeared in many forms and in many different types of games, and sometimes sneaks into games unintentionally.

This week we asked our editors, "What is the funniest game you've ever played?" Vote for your choice in the instant poll, and then read on to hear their thoughts. We've also posted your own responses to last week's Question of the Week: "What game would you like to see ported to the PC?" Finally, don't forget to e-mail ask-the-editors@gamespot.com your opinions about the funniest games ever. Your response could appear in next week's feature.
