The penultimate level is a maze of corridors. Just
finding your way around can be difficult enough, let
alone finding all of the goodies. Luckily, most of the
secrets are located in one central area. Once again: save
em for when you really needem.
Secret Area 1
Most of the secret areas are located in the central area
with blue-bricked walls. When you come across a biosuit,
grab it, turn around until you see the red armor, and run
up the steps. Make two quick lefts until you see a Quad
Damage. As you approach the Quad, the floor will open,
dropping you into some toxic slime below. Grab the Quad.
Do not enter the teleportation portal. Instead, go around
the corner where you will see another portal, leading to
the area with the red armor.

Don't enter this teleporter, no matter how
tempting it may be. Instead, continue though the
slime around the corner to another teleporter
leading to a red armor and lots of ammo |

Shooting this red button will cause the steps to
rise, granting you access to a previously
unreachable area |
Secret Area 2
Find the elevated platform with a Ring of Shadows.
Nearby, you will find a "T" intersection with a
dead end on one side and two small sets of stairs facing
each other. Behind one of the steps, you can see a red
button. Stand on the bottom step and shoot the button,
which will cause the stairs to rise, creating a new
staircase to a secret level. Jump up the new steps to
find some ammo, health, and the Ring of Shadows.
Secret Area 3
In Secret Area 2, notice the small opening on the wall to
the right of the torch. Shoot the section of wall just
below it to open an area with a vore and a Quad Damage.

When you reach the Ring of Shadows, shoot the
wall on the far right to access a secret room and
this angry vore |

Near the Ring of Shadows, you'll see this dark
hallway with two small circles of light on the
walls. Each of these lit areas leads to a secret
alcove containing a box of rockets |
>Secret Areas 4 & 5-
While still in Secret Area 2, look at the two light spots
on the central walls. Hit each of these walls to reveal a
box of rockets. Each counts as a distinct secret area.
Secret Area 6
In the room with the steps leading up over the pool, jump
into the water and turn around. Swim under the bridge and
press the wooden Quake symbol. You will get the message
"A Secret Lurks in the Hall at Red Brick." Turn
around and go through the teleporter (leave the Quad
Damage for later). You will appear on the steps. Turn
around and head back to the red-bricked area, where you
found the biosuit. A large area will have opened,
unleashing some monsters. Go up the steps to find some
rockets and some cells.

vores, holds helpful powerups. They also mark the
locations of the two secret areas in the water

Return to the steps over the
pool. Look up and shoot the red window on the ceiling. A
platform will extend, allowing you to jump over the pool.
Drop into the water and grab the Quad Damage. Go through
the teleporter and jump over the pool. Now youll
have an advantage when you face the vores in the silver
key room.
Secret Areas 7, 8 & 9
In the Silver Key room, grab
the power-ups and defeat the shambler. Jump into the
water, where there are two secret areas. One, containing
two boxes of rockets, is located under the Pentagram
alcove. The other, containing a teleporter, is located
under the Quad Damage alcove. It will take you to a 100
health kit right above Secret Areas 3 through 6. When you
grab the health kit, it will register as another secret
area.
