

  
You begin this level high above a room. An ogre
patrols the floor below. Rather than hop off to do
battle, you can easily pick him off from your current
position. Jump off the platform or ride the lift on the
right-hand side.
There are several paths leading from this central
area, including a locked door (which requires a golden
rune key to open), a lava pit, a pitch-black room
(beneath your original platform), and a dimly lit room.
The dark room is filled with shooting spikes, so you
really only have one choice. Step on the trigger tile in
the center of the room, and head into the area that's
left of the platform.

A pair of ogres awaits you. Destroy them and move
forward. (The other route is currently blocked.) Push the
wall-mounted emblem to open a doorway to your right.
Inside this room is a suit of armor. Take it, then press
the emblem at the end of the walkway to release another
pair of ogres, and to open a pit in the center of the
walkway. Hop in.
After battling some more ogres, go up the stairs to
collect the power-ups and ammo, then go back down. When
you enter the hallway, you'll see a spiked wall on your
left. As you start down the hallway, an ogre pops out of
a panel. Kill him, grab the 100 health bonus at the end
of the hall, spin around, and dart through the opening on
the left wall. An elevator takes you to an upper platform
where you can collect several power-ups, ammo, and a
silver rune key.
Step through the teleport panel to return to the
central area. The previously-black room is now
illuminated. Make a running jump over the narrow
grillwork, then battle the ogre platoon on the other
side.

It's extremely dangerous to
attempt to battle three ogres at once. A safer approach
is to quickly kill the one that's dead ahead, then duck
into his alcove.
The new area contains several health kits and ammo
crates. The action starts as soon as you press the emblem
on the wall.
Arm your grenade launcher, and
beat a hasty retreat out of the room. You'll find it
easier to eliminate the zombies from that vantage point
than if you try to tackle them head-on.

Secret Area 1
Press the emblem and a new symbol on a pillar in the
zombie room is revealed. When you shoot it the stairs
move back, revealing a crate of ammo.
Secret Area 2
Turn around and walk through the teleporter at the bottom
of this alcove. A 100 health bonus can be found across
the chasm - make a running jump to reach it.
Jump down, go through the pair of steel doors, and
stomp on the floor trigger. This releases a platform that
leads to the golden rune key (in the lava-filled room at
the start of the level). Exit and walk through the new
teleport panel, which takes you back to your original
platform.
Listen carefully and you'll hear
the sound of an ogre stomping around below you. Pick him
off from the safety of your platform, then jump down.
Fetch the golden rune key, then spin around to battle
the fiend. If your blast knocks it off the walkway, the
lava will finish the job for you. Now you can finally
open the locked door at the start of the level. Press the
symbol on the wall to gain access to the room at the end
of the hallway.

Secret Area 3
This one's totally obscure. From the start of the level,
go into the room on the left, continue into the hallway,
turn right, walk to the end, turn left, and look up.
There's a symbol embedded high in the wall. Shoot the
symbol to open a secret panel in the wall on your right.
Ride the lift up to the rafters, then walk around until
you find a safe spot to drop onto the lower rafters.
You'll find a Quad Damage power-up there.
Secret Area 4
If you've already destroyed the shambler and found the
level's exit, you may be asking yourself two questions:
First, where are the last few monsters? Second, how do I
reach the power-ups that were previously guarded by the
ogres in the room with the pop-up wall panels? The
answers lie in finding the following secret.
Return to the room where you encountered the ogres
(the one with the pit in the center of the floor), and
drop into the pit. As you watch, the spiked wall will
move past the doorway. Enter the hallway, turn left, and
walk through the teleport panel. Grab the goodies, defeat
the scrags, then leap into the closest ogre's panel on
the right side of the room below.
