Early in the war, the German 111th Infantry is advancing on your position. Armed with only light BT-7s and BT-5s, you must punch your way through the infantry and raise havoc behind the German lines. Panzer IIIs and half tracks provide plenty of resistance, but if you can avoid getting hit, the high-velocity 45mm gun on your tanks is strong enough to take out the Panzers. In The Dam Breaks, you must urge a weakened division to defend the village of Rovno while doing as much as possible to slow the German advance. This is a very difficult mission.
Voronezh With reinforcements delayed, you must attack the overpowering 24th Panzer Division. You must defeat multiple platoons of Panzer IIIs and IVs and proceed to the westbound road leading out of the village. After suffering heavy losses at Gorshechnoe, you must lay low and ambush German armor as it tries to cross the river. You are facing Panzer IIIs and IVs, and a reinforcement of Sturmgeschutz III Ausf Bs. Look for hull-down positions along the river and on the ridgeline. Poor terrain will slow the German advance. Finally, a horrendous campaign ends with a retreat to the Don River, where you must try to protect the 13th and 40th Soviet Armies. Though outnumbered in Voronezh: Towards the Brink, you must push through the German lines quickly and provide covering fire for the retreating infantry.
Southwest Front After absorbing serious losses, the 5th Guards regroup in the hope that a renewed effort will halt the German advance toward Stalingrad. In A Parade in Our Streets, Too, your platoons of T-34s advance on the Rumanian 15th Infantry and 1st Cavalry Divisions. You must pour into the southern village and oust Rumanian gun emplacements on the west side of the river.
