So you can't control the dragon mounts? You're telling me that Bethesda can't do for Skyrim what a modder did for Oblivion? Good grief...
guys, do you think i would like skyrim. im a huge fan of the zelda series. the only reason i havent got this yet is because it seems really long and i dont have the time to finish it.
@exclusive786 its pretty different from Zelda, but its fair to say, from a majority standpoint, that its one of the best games of our time. I brace myself for the trolling that will result from saying that, but I mean, this series is loved for a reason.
all of the major cities are removed while flying for the exact purpose of preventing people from doing what they are trying to do. Surprised they couldn't figure that out on their own...seeing as how solitude and whiterun were mysteriously missing.
Erm, now Gamespot subscribers have to watch advertisements because you're using Twitch?
Skyrim is my 1st TES game. Guess I loose out on 'hipster points'. That being said, youtubing these DLC's is good enough for me since they're not coming to PS3. Dawnguard and Hearthfire look wack imo. Dragonborn looks pretty cool though.
This is the last dlc i will buy for Skyrim. I should have waited to watch this before i got it. Should have known Bethesda couldn't deliver the dragon riding goodness the modders are able to. So lame! Meh back to Far cry 3
What?! You can't control (steer) the dragon? Well, that makes no frak'n sense. Why the heck would you get on an animal's back not knowing where its gonna go? For $20 one would expect a solid DLC. I dished out $20 for dawnguard and thought it was a 7.5 DLC. I think $10 may be more appropriate for dawnguard and dragonborn each. I have to think hard on this before I buy. I love SkyRim. One of the best games I even bought but sooner or later I'll have to draw the line - $20 DLCs a pop gets expensive after a while.
Just saying.
@XCyberForceX I would wait until it is on sale. I got it today for 360 and it is not worth the price. Especially as you can't fly Dragons.
@gizzy82 Thanks for the information. You confirmed my hesitation in buying the DLC.
@Leeric420 @FAIL_TR0LL Ya man, PS3 have it coming out as well, and about time. Nice to see PS fans avail of this DLC.
Just watched the live feed...Dragons can not be manually flown; while you can target and attack things with it, the dragon itself is controlled automatically. Also, if I understood correctly, you can only use spears in your bow. And...wathogs cannot be ridden.
why would you need a PC vrsion most of it has been done by mods the house DLC was pointless as there are plenty of mods that add houses to the game
the dragon mounts was one of the big selling points for me and now thats out :( 1600 ms points is to high for some new armour and a couple of quests on the first dragonborn :(
For me this DLC does not look mood-wise attractive, the story twist of the main quest and side ones might be interesting, but that exaggerated fantasy thing, the giant mushrooms, weird places and overly fantasized NPC's. I loved vanilla skyrim, the world was believable, there was magic and dragons and all that, but it look and 'felt' believable and only one place where there was the over the top fantasy element(Blackreach) but it was the only one, sort of hidden world, it felt special and alien, something I can somehow relate to, but these DLC's seems to be rushing in the new content, just rush rush rush until your screen explodes in your face. Oblivion, Fallout and Skyrim I loved, but Morrowind as good as it was, I never got into it just because the setting was over the top.
@Deadly_Nemesis No sir. Firstly I played Oblivion, then tried Morrowind then Fallout and lastly Skyrim, I actually tried Morrowind not once, but couldn't get in the game, mainly 2 things, first the over the top fantasy(not for my taste) and second, no voiced dialogues, it's just too painful to read lots and lots of texts on a PC screen and in a small shift
i dont understand why i should watch a damn trailer before main video since i'm a paid subscriber! that suck, i think i'm gonna cancel that, what's the point of paying for no adds?
@Khan-Pathan007 They've been quite vague about it, it will be 'early next year'. :/
Should have been released along with 360 but dont know whats the strategies of these developers
@Khan-Pathan007 Microsoft signed a deal saying they get to release all DLC at least 30 days before all other systems. Like Dawngaurd it shouldn't be too far off of 30 days from now.
@noize_suppress Above ground, I'd say about a 8th of Skyrim. Who knows what's down below and I believe we will be also going to another "Plane"....to give you a little perspective, there's an achvtment for finding 30 locations. There's a completely different "overview" of the map. You can't see Skyrim at all when looking at the map in Solstheim.
Damn it when will these guys learn? The animations are worse than many of the games from the 16 bit era.Lets not talk about the physics either-absolutely abysmal. At least the music is great.
@kartelas You may be right about the animations but Skyrim is an art game so just enjoy the visuals
@charlesdao @kartelas don't waste your breath this dude is trollling and hating on every topic that envolves bethesda.
@kartelas @evil-zodiark Dude what i want you to understand is that TESV has amaaaazing physics! But a terrible animation, yeah that right, but what they need to change is the combat system or do something more fluid, like, how dishonored had a better combat just with attack and defend!?!?
@evil-zodiark @charlesdao i aint trolling at all.I hate it when such a large company does not use its resources to make the engine better. As i said i love the world it self and im totally immersed by it.They use the same damn engine from the Morrowind game ffs.Its just upgraded a little.Imagine how better the game would be if they improved the physics and the animations.First thing that comes to mind is that with better physics we have a chance to make the gameplay skill based for a change.
@evil-zodiark @charlesdao @kartelas He brings up a good point though. While Skyrim certainly improved the series' animation, I find that the clunky animation really disrupts immersion. Imagine how much better Skyrim would feel if your weapons made satisfying contact with the enemy, if you could perform visceral running jumps, or scale mountains properly instead of just hopping up them awkwardly.
@charlesdao i know what im saying dude.I like the world itself,im not a hater, but u gotta admit the bad things.
