We are currently having an issue with drawing the winners due to some entries failing to include proper information. Though in the spirit of competition we will be giving them until Monday May 6th at 12:00pm PST to follow up with the needed information. @Hermsi @Gojisan26 @NeonBullet we are waiting on you.
The entry window is now closed, we will be going over the submissions and an announcement will be made on Friday, May 3rd.
@Synthia Another great contest, thanks again for setting up another fun one! :)
I guess I'll start with the rating here...though if only entry to a game or figure is an option, I'd be going for a game (3DS or WiiU).
After MH:Tri on the Wii, MH:3 Ultimate seemed kind of off for the next installment in the game series, but I gave it a whirl anyway and was surprised how much better it was. They included everything that Tri missed in weapons, the new monsters kept it interesting and there seem to even be more weapon paths in general for the weapons that were in Tri. Personally I was always a fan of Dual Swords so the exclusion from Tri had me a bit depressed, Ultimate has remedied this and several other peeves of mine from Tri. The only downfall to this game is how they set up the online interactions. If only they'd allowed 3DS questing online with friends without the WiiU it'd have been perfect...*sigh*.
Gameplay/Controls: Almost perfect(manual adjustment of the camera is a pain due to 3DS setup, not a fault of the game)
Tutorials: Didn't suck
Weapon Options: SO MANY <3
Armor Options: see weapon options
Story: W/e that's not really what it's about, though thank you Guild Sweetheart for making me smile with randomness
Multiplayer: How did they screw this up after having such potential *cry*
Overall Rating: 9.25/10
Now the monster entry...I'm no artist, but here's what I have (only had black pen to work with >.>)
Name: Naar Deshiil
Species: Fanged Beast
Element: None (some resistance to all elements)
Alignment: Neutral-aggressive
Habitat: Forests, jungles, swamps
Description/explanation: Naar Deshiil tend to roam about in almost any area there are trees. Females and pups are the most common sights, but females will show no aggression unless she feels her pup is threatened. Standard females are larger than the normal males and do not bear the crimson line markings on their bodies. If a pup is threatened (often for food as upper class folk find the "young liver" to have a distinctly fine taste) the males will appear and both males and females will fight to the death to protect the pups before fleeing as well. Males who have grown old enough and strong enough may become Pack Alphas and enough harassment of a pack may leave the perpetrator facing him in a bad mood.
Wyverns are the largest threat to the Naar Deshiil, specifically the Nargacuga, which has developed a taste for the pups (presumably for the same reason as wealthy city folk). To combat this threat, the Naar Deshiil in charge of the packs in a region may show itself. The Region Alpha Naar Deshiil has been deemed the Jungle Assassin Hunter for this reason. A region alpha may have various scarring to show for past wyvern encounters and, on several occasions, bits of wyvern claws and spikes have been found embedded in their back armor.

Here is my entry!!

Name: Zephyr
Species: Flying Wyvern
Element: Dragon
Alignment: Neutral
Habitat: Mountain Summits
Zephyr is a rare wyvern that is a very shy docile species, however with its immense wings it can blow its foe miles away.
Hope you guys like my entry =D
Heres Mine =)

Name: Seispada
Species: Insect
Element: Poison
Alignment: Neutral
Habitat: F. Forest, M. Peaks
It uses its horn to start digging and continues with his mouth while tucking in his sharp arm blades and spinning its body, making it resemble a screw. The tip of its horn is coated with poison. Two flaps on the bottom protect its Thorax.
Im going for a 3ds copy GO!!
If its not possible to try and win both the 3DS version of the game and a figure, if you could I want to be in the drawing for the 3DS.
Rating: 9.0
Bottom Line: I thought it was a really good game and is really fun to play with friends, getting dibs on armors and weapons because you don't want to be all the same.
Name: Dlo Rah
Species: Brute Wyvern
Element: Fire
Alignment: Neutral
Habitat: Volcano
He likes to be hot and lays down a lot, he's lazy.

Name: Rugaru (The Sage of the Swamp)
Species: Brute Wyvern
Element: Water
Alignment: Neutral
Habitat: Swamps
I designed this creature based on a creature from local folklore here in Louisiana. The Rugaru is a dinosaur-like creature covered in a living moss that resembles fur. Personally, I was a fan of creatures in Monster Hunter that you could carve from before they were defeated. I hoped to convey that plants, rooted in the moss on the Rugaru's back, could be gathered and collected, perhaps even insect harvests as well. I imagine players stubling across this floating mound of vegetation in the swamp, begin to gather from it, then discover that it is in fact the Rugaru springing to life. Enjoy!
@Gojisan26 You need to specify a platform please and thank you.

Name: King Artemus and The Fates
Species: Human
Element: None
Alignment: Evil
Habitat: Ruined Cities
So I'm not the best artist, but I had to submit something because this idea came to mind right away when I read about this contest, and that was:
What do hunters hunt when they have felled the most dangerous beasts? A team of 4 hunters working together like gears in a clock can be the most dangerous monster of all.
I'll totally submit for wii u or 3ds versions of the game.

Here's my entry, looking for one of the figured!
My review score of the game is a 9.8/10 I can't reasonably put over 100 hours into a game and give it any less.

My entry~ Just recently got a Wii U too!!
On a note, I hope I can be entered for both platforms! Although I'd prefer 3DS xD (Didn't know the contest was split-ted into two o.o)
Here's MINE! :D

NAME: Gwyneira
Species: Fang Wyvern
Element: ICE`
Alignment: Neutral
Habitat: Mountains
I had already started painting my draw when I read that I can participate because I don't live in the US.....
At least I can try to win a figure.
Score:7.0
Bottom LIne: Highly addictive game with an incredible amount of quests to do, items to loot and of course monsters to hunt.
Unfished version:
8.5/10 (3DS Version)
Compared to the Wii's Monster hunter Tri at first everything (apart from a few extra monsters and a extra Shaka kid) is the same, you fight your way up to the big bad boss that's causing all the trouble and tell him to go way, that or frail around a sword for a while.
After this however (much to my delight) the mountains open up, the subspecies throw themselves at you, your armour and weapons become even more colourful and powerful than before.
As you know Monster hunter isn't known for its storyline more of the "There big monster... kill it RWAR"
But when you play with friends or other hunters this fact seems to be forgotten anyway (honestly do you ever think "what about the story" when shooting players on Slayer in Halo 4?)
All of what i said brings my scoring of MH3U to 9.0 due to the lack of story and motivation (other than to kill bigger monsters)
But what brought down a notch more was the lack of online play on the 3DS, yes you can connect to the WiiU and that's awesome (if i had a WiiU) but we know the 3DS can handle online play like Mario karts, so I always wondered why? to costly or did they want to try and force use Hunters altogether? (then take us out... omg (or course not))
I love the 3DS version, its frame rates, graphics and all catches me off guard sometimes and makes me think how awesome it all looks. The Monster seem to have their own minds sometimes (rathalos got tired of flailing around his tail and took off) and the weapons and armour!? I can spend at least an hour looking at them all and they look on my character.
All in all I will be playing this game for more than 500 hours and now i can play it anywhere, as long as the sun keeps behind those clouds...

"Probablynot the best review"
9/10 (Wii U version)
Bottom line: While it's still a slog for newbies and touts the ever-polarizing JRPG grinding, Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is one of the best online co-op experiences in gaming and a sound AJRPG in it's own right.
