Hunting endangered species in Far Cry 3
Johnny tools up and takes to Far Cry 3 in order to terrorise the local wildlife.
Join Johnny as he hunts the animals of Far Cry 3, using the power of the random animal and weapon generator to guide him. Two random numbers denote his prey and hunting weapon--will he have to kill a shark with explosives, a buffalo with a flare gun, or a tiger with a knife? Come watch as he wrestles with the wildlife!

An occasional beard-sporter and covert Italian, Johnny makes videos for GameSpot UK, and would happily step over most of his friends for a coffee. Philosophically he never used to believe in reincarnation, only now he's not Saussure.
Year: 1973 - Little Johnny is mashing buttons on his Comodore 64.
"Daddy!" squeals little Johnny. "My fingers are sore!"
"Don't worry." chuckles Johnny's Daddy. "In the future games will be more sophisticated."
Umm, so we have come to the point where, at least in games, humanity is hunting down the last few people who are NOT corrupted by M-games and the deplorable and crazed lifestyle that goes with it?? ...Oh, no wait, they are talking about animals...
Is this game even worth getting on the 360? Frame rate issues really destroy any game for me...
@BFKZ Installed the game, works way better. Even loadings got faster. The game only stutters when there is rain in a highly vegetated areas like on top of the mountain.
@BFKZ I'm playing the PS3 version, which is supposed to be the worst and it really isn't that bad. There is some screen tearing occasionally but I hardly notice it to be honest.
@BFKZ Screen tearing on consoles is an issue with this game. I play on PS3 and it's very noticeable
@talkcasual @BFKZ I saw the comparison on youtube. X360 doesn't have that screen tearing (I am not trying to be a fanboy or something silly like that, I am telling the truth)
@BFKZ I think so - haven't had any frame rate issues while playing it on my 360.
Wow, that will make PETA really mad... they seem to take killing of virtual animals far worse than real ones.

@Venatorcruiser They are taking too long indeed. I was already surprised when they did not complain about Red Dead Redemption (there is even an achievement/trophy for wiping all the buffaloes)
I would pit a Panda Bear against a Jaguar against a Bengal Tiger and the winner gets to eat a Spottet Owl(wait, those aren't endangered anymore, I think, oh well). I think the Panda is screwed, but I have never seen one fight.
I hated Far Cry 2 and couldn't finish it, but Far Cry 3 is a massive improvement. I'm about half way through and loving it.
Great show Johny and Cam! Johny sorry for underestimating you, you were realy awsome - cool gameplay and humor! And Cam, you are the one of my favorite gamespot mamber, I realy admire you scientific approach to everything, you the one mostly nutrally positive professional! Thanks guys it was great!
As somebody that enjoyed Skyrim but was a little disappointed with the combat mechanics, Far Cry 3 proved to be the best of both worlds. I've never played the first two, but 3 is one of the best purchases I have ever made.
Funny how he says he is not used to play fpss on keyboard.FPS games were made for PC ffs!
@Dalkanium Yet i play it on my PC with my XBOX controller. Amazing graphics, comfortable controls, laying back. Best of both worlds.
@Janpieterzun @Dalkanium How's the aiming on a PC with an XBOX controller? Isn't the PC version optimized for mouse aiming and not controller aiming? The two methods are totally different
Far Cry 3 is an amazing game, but having platinum trophied the game in less than a week it left me feeling a little let down.. just felt a little bit too easy. But again, very good game. 9.5/10 for me.
@irishjake I think the game is damn near perfection as a FPS Open world game, but yeah the platinum is WAYYYY too easy. A game like this should force me to complete ALL missions, hunts, supply drops, collect all relics, complete on hard difficulty, etc. before rewarding me with the final prize. At the very least they should have a "100% complete" trophy!
@Iffy350 Done that today and it was awesome. To bad the explosions didn't kicked the animals to the sky.
@lpsyco666 No, they got stuck in a Far Cry 3 holding warehouse that happened to have a TV, Internet and a console, imagine the Christmas they'll have.. poor lads.
