What's E3?
The Electronic Entertainment Expo is like the Super Bowl, Wrestlemanias 1 to XI, and the Kumite of video games, all at the same time. As the biggest gaming event of the entire year, it's when the big three hardware manufacturers--Nintendo, Microsoft, and Sony--show off all of their upcoming games and technology. If you're not sure what you'll be playing in the next few months or you're wondering what to look forward to, you're going to want to pay attention to E3 2011. And we're here to make sure you see everything!

Changes to Our Video Player
We've made two major improvements to our E3 video player this year that will ensure you never miss a moment of our complete show coverage.
- Now you can watch our live streaming coverage in high definition! Just click the "High Def" button beneath the player or toggle between SD/HD in the lower-right corner of the player.
- Did you arrive late to the show? Do you need to take a sandwich break? Our new player gives you full control over our live broadcasts and lets you rewind back to any moment, even if you've only just arrived! Just grab the marker in the timeline bar and move it to any point in the event broadcast.

E3 2011 Achievements
As always, we hand out a batch of special E3-related achievements each year, and you'll find the list below along with descriptions that explain how to unlock them. Please note that the first five achievements will be handed out immediately upon completing their associated requirement, and the latter two (each of which can be upgraded twice) will be awarded on June 13.
E3 2011 Microsoft Conference Attendee
E3's just not the same without dudes getting chainsawed in half, amirite? I watched the Microsoft E3 2011 press conference during the week of E3, and am a better person for it.
E3 2011 Sony Conference Attendee

This achievement brought to you by alliteration! I watched an episode of GameSpot's Live E3 2011 Stage show during the week of E3 and secured my place amongst the samurai elite.
E3 2011 New Game Ninja
Hi, this achievement is all about ninjas, REAL NINJAS. This achievement is awesome. I followed a game announced at E3 2011 during the week of E3 and inherited REAL ULTIMATE POWER.
E3 2011 Game Gladiator - Bronze
Are you not entertained? I followed 5 games featured at E3 2011 during the week of E3, and have won the favor of the crowd.
E3 2011 Game Gladiator - Silver
Are you not entertained? I followed 10 games featured at E3 2011 during the week of E3, and have won my freedom.
E3 2011 Game Gladiator - Gold
Are you not entertained? I followed 20 games featured at E3 2011 during the week of E3, and now not even the emperor can touch me.
E3 2011 Facebook Freedom Fighter - Bronze
Maximizing buzz by driving word of mouth from relevant influencers. I "liked" 5 E3 2011 previews, staff blogs, or news stories on Facebook during the week of E3 and helped spread the word.
E3 2011 Facebook Freedom Fighter - Silver

I also didn't receive my Facebook Freedom Fighter - Gold. I want it!
Noticed a few users have received the Freedom Fighter (any colour) but some are still complaining about it the forums it seems.

Man... something is not right, I didn't get the Facebook Freedom Fighter, New Game Ninja, Game Gladiator nor the Microsoft Conference Attendee. Anyone with the same problem ??

new game ninja was already awarded from what i can tell, i got it this morning it was for following a game announced at e3..but what qualifies for that im not sure, and it may have been cut off when the con ended since no new games could be announced from then on, kinda hard to tell at this point

After reading all the comments, its amazing how many people didnt read this article stating all but the first five achievments will be awarded AFTER THE 13th!
ive followed everygame announced at e3 2011 because i want to get teh scoop on all the latest games. And i want to get the achievements but i have yet to get the gladiator achievements or real ninja award.

i'm guessing we get ninja and gladiator emblem at the end of the week,... sad there is no watched ea or ubisoft,... and no survived the horror of a full live show :O
I still don't have the Ninja emblem, even after following many of the announced e3 games, which sucks cause I'm really wanting to inherit those "REAL ULTIMATE POWERS"!

I had to re-watch the Microsoft video, but finally got it the second time around. I haven't got the new game ninja one even though I have done it at least 10 times and have the other ones like that like show samurai.

guys, u get the facebook emblem if u hit the like button 5, 10 or 20 times on any newsm demos, presentation from E3. the u get the gladiator emblem if you hit the follow button 5 10 or 20 times on a game presented at E3. now these emblems will be awarded on 13th of this month only...

I watched both Sony - Microsoft - Ubisoft... Was very nice videos_: Far Cry 3 - Assassin's Creed: Revelations - Battlefield 3 - Tomb Raider: Reborn...
I got emblems for my 3 conferences, Livecam Warrior and Stage Show Samurai, but so far have not a clue on how to get New Game Ninja and the rest.
@snake3107: Most likely following a new game that was announce during E3 week, atleast that what it said in the description.
@DarkNeoBahamut Thanks for the response. I actually got my MS emblem now. I loaded up the conference again, just watching for about ten seconds, and that seemed to be enough to trigger the emblem - not right away, but eventually. I advise anyone who's missing emblems to try loading the videos again. Unlike previous years, it doesn't seem like they have to be watched live.
@ClayMeow: yep, they usually open a thread about it after E3 is over, try and check the forums :)
I have Sony, Nintendo, Stage Show and Live Cam, but not MS. Is there a reporting thread?

i watched all 3 pressers live, and i have MS & nintendo badges, but not sony's. can someone pm me the right place to ask gamespot about this, please. thanks in advance.
'Buffering' must be a good game... It's all I was seeing at the Nintendo conference. Seriously, I don't know what the problem was, but the streaming was that bad I've given up on watching it. I watched the Microsoft one yesterday and the streaming wasn't great for that either, but no where near as bad as the Nintendo one.
I watched both Sony and MS and for some reason i havent gotten my emblems yet...
GS how have you not worked out over the past few E3's how to make a player that actually works!
couple of Q's 1)how do we get the new game ninja one (follwowed a new game but nothing) 2) how long do the follow and fb likes take to turn up 3) what do we do about MS, if firefox is the only browser that will even attempt to play it (gamespot not showing up properly in IE 9 and chrome)

Same here. Watched it live and then went and watched bits and piece again. Didn't show up yet, but it probably will later on. I even made sure to post a comment to show I was there.. as in on the page watching. I guess just wait a bit and it will show up. **this time I was talking about the Sony presentation. Already got the Microsoft one.
@webFreeman: There are no emblems for the EA or Ubisoft press conferences sadly :(
@LarkAnderson As in off-air? I have watched the sony press conference but still did not get the achievement.
I havent got my E3 2011 Sony Conference Attendee embelm I watched it but it kept on buffering on me.
If your achievement wasn't awarded, try to watch it again and it should work.
@JokerFett i have the same problem ;) and i also watched EA and The boring Ubisoft one till the end when AC show up ;)
MSs e3 was dissapointing
