Scoring
If you answer each question on the test correctly, you'll earn a maximum score of 1600 points. Each question is worth 10 points if you choose the correct answer. However, 2.5 points are deducted from your score if you answer incorrectly. If you don't know an answer, you can skip a question, and you'll lose or gain no points for that question--but if you can eliminate at least one wrong answer, take a guess! The odds will be in your favor.

About the Questions
The GSAT 2001: PC Games is a multimedia feature. Some of the questions require that you have graphics enabled in your browser as well as utilities installed for playing streaming video and MP3-format audio files. Please make sure and have the appropriate utilities installed before you begin. In addition, you'll need cookies enabled in your Web browser, so that we can keep track of your score. Cookies are enabled in your browser by default.

Choose Your Challenge
We offer the GSAT in two distinct variations: There's the standard HTML version (which is reminiscent of our GSATs from 1999 and 1998), and there's also the exclusive GameSpot Live version--a broadband, multimedia experience in full speech, with lots of video, music, and sound effects! Both tests feature the exact-same questions, but the Live version is just that--so you'll have to be quick in choosing your answers!

If you haven't taken a GSAT before, find out how to play in this brief tutorial.
