Playing video games is too common today to try and blame it. In the past only a select group of people played games. This has changed as playing games has become common practice in so many circles. Blaming games is like playing books, TV, smoking, or alcohol. It is too common today to try and change it or try and strictly pin it on one thing. It is too common.
By the way, this page gets buried in less than a few hours to a day, maybe highlight it as a feature for the first few days?
@Lord_Python1049 I always have to dig when I want to listen to this show. it's the best things since the hotspot. RIP Hotspot.
So shawn, because I don't like the new art style, story, music, the screen tearing, the low difficulty, less then 60fps game play and the poor ending of DMC that makes me stupid!? Hmm.
Also, it's not the look of Dante that bothers me. it's his attitude. the old Dante from DMC had charm to him, he was witty and a smart ass but didn't need to swear. this Dante is far more brash and pissed off. Now this to a casual DMC player might not even notice these changes but for some like me who cherishes DMC 1 and 3 this is very noticeable. not game breaking on it's own but just one the aspects of this game that I did not like. I would also like to point out that you guys on many occasions defend your opinions, which is fine cause it is your opinion. But calling people stupid because they have a different opinion then yours is childish. BTW your mother is fat.
@FreedomPrime I wish people realized that Shaun was having fun, not seriously calling people that don't like DmC stupid :/ I thought it was pretty clear in context that he was being silly and hyperbolic. Maybe that's because I was there--and because I know Shaun--but I thought it was plain he was being tongue-in-cheek.
also, aquaman was on the Xbox and it's widely know as one of the worst games ever made. it's that bad....
New DMC was not enjoyable for me, must be stupid by in Shawns book. Then again who gives a shit. If you genuinely think the new DMC is an improvement on the formula, then good for you. I found it so mind numbingly easy that it baffles my mind how anyone could think it is an improvement for the series.
IDK why i even bother coming to this site anymore. The reviewers here are not only bad at games, they are judgmental instead of informative, and you call yourselves game journalists. L O L. Get real gamespot.
@L0mak At least you could always go to other publications, since we loved Devil May Cry more than they did. Oh wait--no we didn't; the majority of critics gave the game even higher scores. http://www.metacritic.com/game/xbox-360/dmc-devil-may-cry/critic-reviews
@L0mak Oh no--we had an opinion! Bad GameSpot, bad! How terrible that games editors would editorialize. We're awful, I tell you. AWFUL!
Yea , you like the game good for you , like I said. It's pretty subjective when it comes to who is going to like what game. But one of your employees went out of his way to call a group of people stupid for their opinion that the game was bad.
I"m simply returning the favor of unnecessary insults over differing opinions back to you, and your employees.
Oh you guys liked D3. Well you all must be pretty stupid because that game was objectively a terrible sequel to a great franchise.
@L0mak damn, you mad!? granted I hate the game too but you take it to a new level, you sir sound like you need a hug. Come to poppa.
I like the new DMC game so I am not stupid Shaun McInnis!!! Finally a podcast for 2013 and can't wait for more :)
Another great show you wrote there Kevin!! Actually it was a good show the guest was awesome. Thanks GS!!
Great episode. I couldn't guess a single game during the audio quiz, but the superhero games I played are either decades old, like the beat'em up Marvel game for the SNES, or very recent.
