Is there going to be a new episode this week? The cancellation of the hotspot has made me nervous whenever you guys miss a week.
This week's episode is free and easy, as host Kevin VanOrd puts the GameSpot team through their paces, courtesy of some new reader-suggested quizzes!
GameSpot GamePlay Episode 16: Press X to Batman
This week's episode is free and easy, as host Kevin VanOrd puts the GameSpot team through their intellectual paces, courtesy of a slew of new reader-suggested quizzes! On the road to discovery, Tom Mc Shea uncovers just what the Mercer brothers (Alex and Alec, of course!) are up to; Peter Brown fondly recalls the Devil May Cry shooter that never existed; Tyler Winegarner uses lustful language in his best Jerry Seinfeld voice; and Chris Watters inspires Kevin to drop a well-timed F-bomb.

bring the news back! they bring a nice change of pace. this episode was a lot of fun, but at the end I was tired from all the games...
@LeoKRock Don't worry--this was a special episode.
Hi Kevin, I thank you for having the skill, talent and time to host these podcasts for us the fans. Yet, if i may provide a few points of constructive criticism. I find the trivia and format of these shows not as interesting as the hotspot. I understand that you are making it your own show but can you make an "inbetweener", sort of a merger, and combine the topical discussion of "quoted for truth" with this. Because this is what i find most interesting, the deep topical discussions of the biggest issues surrounding the games industry. Thanks again for your time.
If anyone is wondering about why Brendan Sinclair would have been laughing about when Peter was "crying", Brendan holds that masturbation can be substituted for all the idioms that involve crying and the phrase will still make sense. So when "tears were rolling down peter's cheeks"... yep...
Tom should have win the arcade racing round. Daytona USA came up twice and the second time was right at the end and killed Tom.
I love the fact that the thursday show have become a D&D trivia game with Kevin as the dungeon master... but I miss the ranting of the news...
Year more quality testing...Fallout 3, I never beat or played much of that game because I kept on running into game-breaking glitches
I guessed Family Guy =). I remember the episode where the wheelchairs form a robot. This week's episode was hard...
Ha! Kevin should have added Arma 2's combat noises for the last one.
"Unknown Man. 400m. 10 o'clock ... Unknown Man. 400m. 9 o'clock ... Unknown Man.400m. 9 o'clock. Enemy Helicopter. Far.
So bad! XD
Great show guys! I always test my friends with names of factions or groups within game stories. You can also do a group vote for most mediocre or worst game in a genre and judge results. Always brings up some horror stories hehe.
I would absolutely listen to Quoted for Truth on a regular basis, if you provided an episode on a regular basis... It's really hard to be excited for a show if a new episode only shows once every 3 weeks
Since you guys asked to us to wright this about crack, here we go with the only history that I know that is related to gaming and crack.
Some years ago I was trying to download a pirate copy of a game. I know that is not a cool thing to do, you don't need to warn how bad this is. Nowadays all copies of my PC and PS3 games are legal. Anyway I was looking for the altered version of the .exe file of the game that could allow me to run the pirated copy, this kind of file .exe is called crack.
After a long time searching for a game crack in the internet I stumble with an Orkut community called I Smoke Crack, at that time Okut was at its peak. There was a bunch of people talking about the healthy hobby of smoking crack. I remember that one of the topics of discussions was if is better smoke crack in a pipe or in a can, but honestly I don't remember to each conclusion those fine ladies and gentlemen came to.
Anyway what I learned from this is that you smoke crack, and you can do that from a pipe or a can. Boy, you can find strange things on the internet.
another game could be having them think of a game they wish they could re-review. They would obviously give reasons as to why they would re-review it and what score they would give it now.
how about a 2 truths and a lie type game? this could work with news or games. You simply state two facts and a lie about gaming news or a specific game and the others try to guess which statement out of the three is the lie.
