Stone Age Buildings

Town Center
Town
Center
Cost: 200 wood
Hit points: 600

It all starts here. Town centers allow you to produce villagers and serve as repositories for meat, wood, stone, and gold.

Town Center Tips: If you have the resources, build a second town center near a mine or patch of trees instead of a storage pit. Although you'll spend an extra 80 wood to do so, you'll get an extra 250 hit points and the flexibility of having a structure that can produce more villagers right where you need them. You can use it as a farming center, too.

House
House
Cost: 30 wood
Hit points: 75

Houses serve to cap your population until you reach the 50-unit cap.

House Tips: Houses can be used as a cheap barrier in a pinch, but they don't last long. Be sure to build them where they won't get in the way or clog up the paths your units use.

Barracks
Barracks
Cost: 125 wood
Hit points: 350

As the early center for your army, the barracks is certainly a must-build in the Stone Age. The barracks is the foundation of all your subsequent military buildings, such as the stable and the archery range, with the exception of naval units and towers.

Barracks Tips: When you have ample wood, build several additional barracks to allow you more flexibility in mustering up an army more quickly. Also, be sure to upgrade your clubmen to axemen pronto.

Storage Pit
Storage
Pit
Cost: 120 wood
Hit points: 350

Storage Pit Tips: A must-build either in the Stone or the Tool Age due to the important research it allows. Place your storage pit near meat (wildlife, not farms), wood, stone, and gold resources to speed up the collection process. The storage pit is the source of key military upgrades.

Granary
Granary
Cost: 120 wood
Hit points: 350

Granary Tips: Place granaries near berry bushes or in areas where you expect to eventually build farms. Granaries let you research walls and towers and are very important to your empire's defense. Nor can you build a market and farms until you build a granary, so this is an important building to construct.

Dock
Dock
Cost: 100 wood
Hit points: 350

Dock Tips: Docks produce your navy and your fishing boats. Fishing can be an important way of collecting meat, and several fishing boats will help you advance to the Tool and Bronze Ages more quickly. Always upgrade your navy as soon as upgrades are available. Controlling the seas (or defending your small part of the sea) is very important.
