E3 2011: Nintendo Press Conference Report Card

By Staff

Did Nintendo's new system make a big splash? Find out in our report card.

E3 Report Card E3 Report Card As Wii sales continued to shrink month to month and software support slowed to barely a trickle, Nintendo knew it needed to make its move on a new platform that would replace the Wii. How it would go about doing that while replicating the Wii's success was anyone's guess, but expectations for a new console announcement were high. After all, Nintendo changed the face of console gaming (for better or worse, depending on your perspective), bringing more people into the fold who don't necessarily read video game websites or dissect every screenshot for the slightest bit of information. How do you keep that momentum going and simultaneously recapture an audience that might have been turned off from what the Wii primarily offered?

Nintendo didn't address the question right away, but instead chose to mark another important moment in its history--the 25th anniversary of The Legend of Zelda--complete with a full orchestra performing popular themes from various Zelda games over the years. Famed Nintendo designer Shigeru Miyamoto then appeared onstage to give some details of how Nintendo plans to celebrate this particular birthday. It will start with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. This will be followed by the release of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D on the Nintendo 3DS, and in September, The Legend of Zelda: Four Swords Adventures will become available on DSiWare. And finally, The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will become available on the Wii this holiday season. Interestingly, the celebration doesn't stop there. Nintendo plans to hold Zelda concerts around the world as well as release two soundtrack CDs--one of the music in the 3DS version of Ocarina of Time and the other of the orchestral music to be played at the aforementioned concerts.

The release of these games seems more like a coincidence than a concerted effort on Nintendo's part to properly celebrate Zelda's anniversary, but the company kept this particular part of the press conference brief. And the appearance of some of Zelda's most important contributors over the years, including Eiji Aonuma, was a nice touch. Still, bigger news came quickly a few minutes later as Nintendo president Satoru Iwata took to the stage to tell the audience about a new Nintendo strategy--deeper experiences that have wider appeal. It was an obvious hint at Nintendo's next console that played into rumors swirling before E3 2011 that Nintendo was keen on courting some of the hardcore audience it has lost over the past few years.

It was just a tease of things to come later, so Iwata left the stage so Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime could come forward to rattle the sabers for the Nintendo 3DS. There's no question Nintendo needed to address some faltering interest in its 3D portable, and it did so in proper fashion by revealing more information on key games (namely Mario Kart and Super Mario 3D) and unveiling some nice surprises (Luigi's Mansion 2 and Tekken). The weakest part of the conference came at the end of this particular segment as Reggie took some time to toot the eShop horn. All of the information discussed was old hat, and while having such a large media audience provided a great opportunity to remind everyone about the shop, going in depth into the Pokedex wasn't all that necessary.

Reggie then addressed the crowd about one more piece of information--Nintendo's next platform. He explained how Nintendo came to name the Wii and eventually revealed the name of the new system, the Nintendo Wii U--a surprising choice considering that Nintendo hasn't transitioned a brand from one generation to the next since the NES to Super NES era. Next, the audience was shown a trailer that highlighted all of the new system's capabilities. What made this trailer work so well was that it immediately showed what makes the Wii U different from its predecessor: its screen-equipped controller. Images of sharing content across the TV and controller danced with an impressively detailed version of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. Iwata then went into some of the finer points of the controller, including the button layout, the front-facing camera, the gyroscope, and the accelerometer. But more importantly, he explained how users can stream a video signal to the controller to continue playing a game if the household TV has been commandeered for other activities.

Then came the parade of third-party support, including notable games like Batman: Arkham City, Tekken, Ninja Gaiden III, Assassin's Creed, and Darksiders II. Developers like Irrational's Ken Levine and Disney's Warren Spector expounded upon the possibilities for innovation. Even EA CEO John Riccitiello got onstage and asked us to imagine--because EA doesn't want to make a promise it can't keep--a version of Battlefield 3 and other EA games for the Wii U. A major question remained: How will these games take advantage of the Nintendo U's unique controller, and what will make consumers want to own those versions over their 360 and PS3 counterparts?

Unfortunately, many questions went unanswered about third-party support, online functionality, and even the user interface that will guide users around the system's features. Still, Nintendo's goals are clear. Not only does it want to keep doing what it did with the Wii in terms of both hardware (affordable preexisting tech) and software (experiences that appeal to more than the core audience), but it also wants that hardcore market back. What easier way to do that than to create a platform that makes it easier for developers to port their games, as opposed to creating largely different versions that cost developers and publishers extra money? It's a smart move, but the major hurdle for Nintendo is getting third-party developers to treat the Wii U as their primary and not their secondary platform.

Overall, Nintendo's press conference was on point. The company addressed everything it needed to, and there was plenty of information to digest for the Wii U. On top of all that, there weren't any awkward demos, something that has plagued Nintendo's recent press conferences, and while it wasn't as stacked as Sony's press conference, most of the time was spent on products consumers are genuinely looking forward to.

@DingoRedfield umm how the hell is Sony's "a bit batter than Microsoft's" while Microsoft got and F and Sony got a B+? But I agree other wise Microsoft was the worst one sadly and Sony was a bit better and Nintendo was the strongest... I was just questioning your rating system :P

DingoRedfield 5 pts

Ill give Microsoft's an F, indeed it was a boredom fest, and to top it all, there where some seriously freakish kids playing some sucky games and the system using kinect. That its not the way to use that system my friends. And lol on the controller being disconected at the start of the conference. Sony's conference was a bit better, maybe a B+, 'cause let's face it... the price on that Vita, was really something worth listening. The impact they put on Resistance and Uncharted was cool. But they seemed to be lacking info on Vita games, although the system is coming out soon. Hell, the WiiU showed more demos!! Nintendo its probably an A-, the WiiU its not exactly what i had in mind when they announced an upcoming console. It's gonna be revolutionary, thats for sure, like the Wii was, but aside from that the so called HD graphics didnt really seemed like that, they seemed more like a really great Gamecube cinematic, let's hope that theyre still uncovering the systems capabilities just as what happened with the ps3. Here's hoping that Nintendo doesn't try to force the controller into cool hardcore gaming.

With the Sony conference, I basically watched as Sony threw out game after game that are parts of franchises that don't interest me. That is, until they got to Sly 4, which made me incredibly overjoyed. Then they returned to spiting me by denying me a Ratchet & Clank Collection. Vita looks okay, but doesn't interest me at the moment. Nintendo didn't give me that moment of excitement that the Sly 4 announcement did, but considering how they had more stuff to talk about that actually interests me, I say they won. For Wii U, I think that Nintendo's plan was to renew interest in 3DS games that were announced last year but have yet to come out, which I feel the successfully did (At least for the ones I want. Anyone who wanted Paper Mario got the shaft), then they could at least announce the Wii U to spark interest in it. Next year, they'll talk more about it to get more people interested in it for when it finally launches. I for one didn't like how Nintendo once again had to resort to revealing games on their site. I couldn't care less about the Microsoft conference.

macabre190788 5 pts

I would give Microsoft an E+, absolute borefest saved somewhat by the great looking Tomb Raider, Gears of War 3 and the brief Halo 4 teaser. I would give Nintendo a B-, some nice 3DS reveals, the Zelda stuff dragged on a bit, the Wii U reveal was pretty exciting but equally as confusing, true, I was pretty disappointed at first, but this was a better conference than Microsoft's, I didn't watch Sony's,unfortunately, I would but I had other important business to do.

Spacerac 25 pts

I can't choose who I like better, both Sony and Nintendo are an A- to me. They did way better than Microsoft who I'll admit I never liked them because they couldn't get my favorite genre right (yeah... Blinx) like the other two, so they just focused on shooters and they were always a one-trick-pony with shooters. There's little else on 360 worth playing other than Halo or Gears. Sony and Nintendo came with it, Microsoft's sucked.

jmpittman0220 5 pts

Nintendo dropped the ball by showing that they are still focusing on non-gamers over core-gamers. They only make like one Zelda game every 5 years and have blown it with Other M. Mario isn't enough to keep me interested in this high priced gimmick. First the 3DS now this, I'd give them a C- and that's generous.

coop36 9 pts

I admit I am a little disappointed the only Wii game I have left to look forward to is Skyward Sword. While at the same time Nintendo is showing off all the cool games the 3DS is about to get. At least there is a stacked list of interesting titles coming out for "other unnamed consoles" :\

Dswiss 5 pts

video games now are fun but its just not the same as games back in the day... remember that feeling you got when you first played Super Mario World?

HaloPimp978 90 pts

I thought Nintendo was the better of the 3 shows .

Miketendo 5 pts

I'm a Nintendo lifer, but I was a little disappointed about the lack of Wii games shown. I still own one and I was hoping to have something between now and Skyward Sword. That's ok though There is so much lined up for the 3DS i intend to to broke and busy til at least Christmas anyway. Im sold on the Wii U because I liked the Wii but was dissapointed to have missed out on some 3rd party titles (mainly Batman Arkham Asylum) so to be getting Batman Arkham City is awesome!!!! That to me was the " Wait, What? Did he say that!? In your face haters" moment. The only game that would have instilled more disbelief to hear it was comming to the next gen Wii would have been Diablo III... Now there is an idea. Diablo iii ... a man can dream cant he

Rasu89 5 pts

a nice line up of games for the Wii U, but I am still uncertain about getting it. I am totally looking forward to Super Mario and Mario Kart on the 3DS among others.

Sony and Nintendo were both impressive. Microsoft, I think, was gearing this E3 towards a new market, while it may be unexciting for gamers like us, little kids, families, older demographics will like the Kinect technology and that's what Microsoft was aiming for. One thing I disliked about Microsoft's "Report Card" was that GS said "too many games on rails", while they also say as of right now there aren't any games for Kinect. Most Kinect games are going to be rail-like games.

and this e3 was a aaaa for nintendo because they were on point, more on point then microsoft who put effort in 2 halo games in 1 yr 1 gears-excile and 1 forza and the rest was aimed at kenict sony probably had the closest to nintendo because they showed ngp and not to expensive still i dont see 1 single promising title for the system all i seen were ps3 spinoffs or ports unlike 3ds which had -pilotwings resort steel diver ssfiv nintendogs 2 asphalt ridge racer dinosaur fighting game doa dimensions 2 re games etc announced, i still think 3ds has the upper hand , due to gamesline up ,and now with the vc on hand i can say its about time , now i dont have to bring a gbc or gba with me any more oncethey get the majority of tiltes i want , the only thing that would happen is nintendo needs to drop the price which i think they will do so just look at ds as an example, pspcame out nintendo answered within months with games and a price drop , this time they will already have the gamesbut they will probably do a drop onc ngp is out the only place 3ds price can go is down but ngp will probably be like ps3 andhardly drop a price ,

final fantasy 94 , wii had bits of love--- at teh end of the show mario party 9 kirby wii , dragon quest and some new ip had trailers

tre802001 5 pts

@finalfantasy94 Wii titles are announced. The E3 was just to show the 3DS games and what the unfinished Wii U controller can do.

finalfantasy94 5 pts

Im just still surpriesed people are ok with nintendo showing 0 wii love. I mean you are gamers right? I mean if sony was like heres the PS4 and totoaly ignored any ps3 games announcments or showings I would be furious since PS4 would still be far away. Also the fact that some-alot admit they were confused about WiiU during the conference shows nintendo did a poor job explaning it. I mean you got an more solid answer after the conferences but thats what it was after. You shouldint leave a conference confused. I guess nintendo jsut gets some bonus points cause its the big N at least thats what it seems.

All I wanted to know was what the hell was that bird? Pre-rendered, not pre-rendered? A game? A tech demo? A cut scene? Because the thing was so poorly explained I was left watching a cool bird flying around doing bird stuff but not having any idea what it represented. Don't get me wrong, I loved that bird and now I know it was in game tech footage of some kind, but again it underlines how little Nintendo explained things at this presentation.

plaintomato 30 pts

@thadudeabides83 I'm not a Sony fanboy. The 360 has been my preferred console, and I'm looking forward to their next console more than the others. But, I'm just being honest about who had the best E3 conference this year; MS had the worst, Sony had the best with the Vita (dual sticks from someone finally) that will be available this year (and they look to be improving the position of the PS3), and Nintendo's was all about a CONTROLLER for a system with no specs that won't be available or defined until after next E3 - how is that an "A"? Bottom line is the Vita and some games are the only thing new coming out of this E3. Wii U will be coming out of next E3, and maybe with a competitor the same year.

rarson 108 pts

The technology of the Wii U and its controller is extremely interesting, and there's a ton of different things that will now be possible. Playing games "portably" around the house is pretty sweet by itself, but now we can actually play DS-style games on a big screen. But this also actually goes a few steps further than the DS, because we can move one of the screens around and actually overlap the other screen, or orient it in a completely different direction. No doubt that this will allow for some of the most unique playing experiences of the next generation. Personally, I really want to see DS-10 on the Wii U, or even better, an entire digital audio workstation-type "game". The DS-10 interface already works really well, but with a larger touchscreen and the real estate of a high-def display, it would be a vast improvement.

Schreek 6 pts

The problem I have with them getting an A- is that they didn't show hardly anything. A few trailers for upcoming 3DS games and a montage of games that will be on Wii U. They didn't show any actual demos or any games for Wii, which is still their console for another year and a half. Nintendo did not have a good conference. No one did.

Hillsy_ 15 pts

@musicman998 hmmm...Critise Nintendo for Mario, Zelda, Metroid etc.. but Microsoft show Halo 4 which is part of a new trilogy and Halo 1 Remake. Sony are going back to re-releasing PS2 games like the God of War Collection etc.. and also Uncharted 3, Ratchet All for One, Resistance 3 etc.. They are all doing the same games because they sell and is what people want to play, brand loyality. Nintendo released Mario Galaxy 2 because of dropping sales. Maybe the Wii will be abandoned after Zelda, but you can play your Wii games on the new Wii U too. Your Wii itself can still play Gamecube games too. Nintendo are trying to appeal more to 3rd party developers, a market which they were lacking in for the Wii, well quality ones. Nintendo did release new ips, Wii Fit, Wii Play, Wii Sports, they just didn't appeal to you or for me for that matter. It is difficult to capture every gamers taste in the world. I don't own a Wii, I just recognise Nintendo for trying; and for that I give them credit.

James00715 33 pts

New hardware is always the most exciting show, but it's too bad Nintendo didn't show any games for the normal Wii. I mean Wii U doesn't even come out until 2012. Nintendo has to have some normal Wii games planned.

HYPERROY 5 pts

Hey Evo9u: its ok to a fan boy for one system is ok, I mean I was a fan of nintendo for a while, but now it dont matter as long the system has good games. I have all the 3 system, xbox360 has fable yup I love fable, them there is ps3 with God of war and some other titles, and the wii with super smash bros and zelda and other games, ya sure you have your onw opinion I respect that but take a chill pill man!! loz!!

Grouchu 5 pts

Not too sure how anyone "won" this year. Seemed pretty lackluster all around to me. Anyways. How could Nintendo unveil only the controller for the Wii U? That was pretty confusing to me. If you're going to present a new system, SHOW THE SYSTEM. I had to see it from Kotaku.

Evo8u 10 pts

Anyone who agrees with GS ratings are blind in one eye and can't see out of the other. This is what it should be MS B, Sony B-, Nintendo C. MS gave the best conference hands down had very good flow and keeped things up beat and actually showed demos of new games, ok maybe not what some people wanted but at least it didn't almost put me to sleep like nintendos by taking about zeldas BS Wii game that looks like a n64 title or trys and make me believe that move makes an NBA game more realistic.

kierian123 5 pts

Yep nintendo was definitely the best no question.

musicman998 5 pts

I am in no way a fanboy of any of the three major console's but in my honest opinion, Nintendo didn't win this E3. They're making the same type of games they have always made (Firefox, Smash bros.,Mario, Zelda etc.) I said this from the beginning that if Nintendo doesn't show me some new IP's, I would be pissed. They didn't talk about any Wii games other than the new Zelda which makes me believe that the Wii has been abandoned. We know next to nothing about the new Wii U other than the controllers which look very cool even though they're nothing more than a oversized DS screens. Still, it's cool. We need to know the hardware specs, possible price and internet functionality. I give them a + for bringing on more third party developers but the games they're showing are being released on the PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Hardcore gamers have already been established on the 360 and PS3. It's going to take A LOT more than just multi-platform games to real them in.

Flamaster474 5 pts

So after (from what I've seen) 3, maybe even 4, years, of constantly giving Nintendo crap for things they praised in their previews, and finally having something positive to say about Nintendo, Gamespot is suddenly fanboys and sucks? Do those of you saying that sh!t even listen to yourselves?

Spincut 5 pts

That's because Reggie, their CHIEF-MARKETING-OFFICER was doing a lot of the presenting, everything else press conference wise was like it usual is, a bunch of programmers who either have bad accents or bad presentation skills (or both) or people who just don't know how to pitch anything. Bascially outside of Reggie it was another year of me wondering how these people were allowed to present this stuff instead of just hiring me, who graduated right down the street and went to several E3's to witness the horror first hand. Are you listening Sony/Microsoft/Ubisoft (and even Gamespot? That's right I'm talking to you too, at least if I flirt with a booth girl I'd do a passably decent job of it :P ).

y2kern 5 pts

i disagree with gamespot, they are saying a surprising amount of detail on the wii u was revealed and there was nothing surprising at all, if anything it left me wondering, they said nothing about the wii u system and only talked about the controller. up until now no one has any firm idea of the console specs or anything, if it has blueray, wifi, launch titles etc. i like how the controller looks, it looks innovative, stylish and hitech, but they should have placed equal if not more emphasis on the console itself. if sony were to reveal a ps4 would you not expect them to show the console first or even microsoft. i would still give nintendo an A for revealing a new console even though they didnt actually show it.

Stonecutters908 70 pts

I think they should include the booths and the tech demos on the floor in the grading of these shows. Just to grade the conference is one thing but I think E3 is much more than the presentations. In Saying that, I think that Nintendo still wins easy, with Sony coming in a strong 2nd and Microsoft being 3rd with their laughably bad Kinect centric presentation.

Koushin 9 pts

@dRuGGeRnaUt Well said. That is how I felt as well. I think they should of given the Wii an extra year of support and work on getting better hardware in that Wii U for next generation. The controller is pretty cool though but we'll have to see if developers long-term find a practical use for it, or will it be the same problem as with the Wii-mote? Secondly, they confirmed that none of the Wii games on Wii U will be upscaled by the newer hardware. That is a small disappointment considering I think a lot of us wanted to see those games that were successful on the Wii look sharper. Chances are, that's their way of preventing gamers from relying on their back library and move forward and buy newer products. Source: http://www.gamerzines.com/wii/news/wii-u-hd-will-not-upscale-wii.html

dRuGGeRnaUt 22 pts

I don't know. The "reveal" of the wii u seemed horribly lacking. I am very interested in this new tech, I would've said they should wait till next e3 to demo it, and be able to actually show something. I mean seriously, as far as most of the people i know that watched the "reveal", most thought it was a new accessory for the wii. So good job nintendo, now most(casuals or even non-gamers) think you are releasing either a new handheld or a new controller for the wii, given that u use the same controllers and accessories, i dont blame them. I do like the concept alot, but like Cenobyte, I think they need to step up their first party, and make some new awesome stuff, these "installments" in their fabled franchises are going the way of CoD and getting rehashed and re-released waaaaaaaaaaaaay to much. I don't know how many more remakes/ports nintendo expects us to buy, but I'm done with remakes for now.

thadudeabides83 5 pts

@plaintomato: I'm sorry, but to me you sound like a PS fanboy. Which is fine by me, because I don't care.... but you sound misinformed and sour about something. The truth is I own both a 360 and a PS3, but I was more impressed with what Nintendo did than anyone else. I play my 360 religiously, but was completely underwhelmed with anything they had to say. The meat of Sony's conference was based on games I already knew were going to be released, and the rest was dedicated to a handheld that I am absolutely not interested in. I don't own a Wii- I sold it to a friend for money, but the Wii U interests me. To say they aren't making an effort for third party support is ridiculous. That was a very large part of their presentation. And for those of you complaining about Nintendo using Mario and Zelda as a crutch every year, well guess what: everyone does it. Microsoft banks on Halo in one way or another EVERY year, and Sony does the same with their big guns (Uncharted, anyone?). If Sony would have created the Zelda franchise, they would be doing the same thing. And at least Zelda is a patriarch of the gaming industry, so it commands respect. Nintendo won the conference battles, even though none should really be compared to another. If you only own one console, then just enjoy what you have and stop bashing other consoles because you have a low self esteem about what system you chose.

lowkey254 21 pts

I guess GS is giving E3 to Nintendo. Yes, "giving."

0ld_sch00l 5 pts

So... They made a really uncomfortable looking controller with a touchscreen (DAMN, THIS MUST BE SOME KIND OF TECHNOLOGICAL BREAKTHROUGH!) and announced a new children's console.

ss4matador 5 pts

@ExtremeFallout You forgot that BETHESDA should be the first, the other companies are on you, but I'll go with xbox first (sony is better then microsoft, but xbox360 is better then ps3) Honor your nickname... Skyrim should win best game of e3

gundaicut 5 pts

wow they say smashbros is a nice surprise but they dont even bother saying that halo 4-6 announced isnt a good surprise honestly i think nintendo is paying gamespot for these stupid reviews even my kid is like that controller for wiiu is way to big 1.Sony B- i like the idea of the playstation branded tv but i hope they make a 46' tv i find 26' way to small 2.Microsoft C- Yes i understand they want to attend to kids but ur forgetting about ur main market the hardcore gamers 3.Nintendo D i dont know 1 person i know that even said 1 good thing about nintendos confrence

Hillsy_ 15 pts

I would probably agree with Gamespot on there ratings. Nintendo (A-), Sony (B) Microsoft (C). Maybe B+ for Nintendo, but they had the best conference. Sony and Microsoft were more counteracting towards each other; Uncharted 3 vs Halo 4, Gears 3 vs Resistance 3, God of War Remake/Ico Remake vs Halo 1 Remake etc... The advantage Sony had was the inclusion of PS Vita which I thought showed plenty of promise, nice touch with the Bioshock game. So advantage Sony over Microsoft. Nintendo started alittle haphazard, but came good. They introduced a new controller which they felt was important to show the audience; showed some indevelopment games for the Wii U and provided Mario Kart, Mario, Starfox, Luigi Mansion 2 for the 3DS & announced Super Smash Melee for both handheld and console. The Mario 3DS looked good. The only questions I would like answering is where do they see the Wii U in 2 to 3 years time? Why didn't they include some specifications for there new console. Is it solely to combat the 360 & PS3. If I remember correctly, Microsoft new Halo 4 is part of a new trilogy, so how long will the 360 & PS3 be here and how will it effect the Wii U? Anyway, thanks for the streamline Gamespot, good shows; enjoyed watching them all.

boctober 5 pts

Nintendo and Sony did very well this year. Personally, I am not into all the gadgets that Nintendo comes out with. Like the Wii, I only games like Mario Kart, Smash Brothers and Sports. Other than that, nothing really groundbreaking came out. Also, I would rather use a control pad than motion controls. The Wii U is interesting, but I am sure it will lose its luster just like the Wii has. It is about time that Nintendo comes out with some games that are original for once. Mario Kart and Smash Brothers is great, but can get old after a while. Take it from Sony, the Uncharted series has been incredible, Little Big Planet and Mod Nation Racers has opened new doors to new genres. Who would have guessed until they tried it.

ExtremeFallout 5 pts

Nintendo first, sony second, microsoft third

plaintomato 30 pts

Nintendo used PS3 game footage to reveal details about the CONTROLLER for an upcoming new system, and almost no details about that system's capabilities, which will come out sometime AFTER NEXT E3. In other words, you won't play a single Wii U until after next E3. Nintendo got an "A" for this. Sony showed a ton of real content and an amazing looking handheld that you will be able to buy this year and they got a "B"? Microsoft played with their Kinect and got a "C", at least that makes sense.

7hir7een 5 pts

How did it get an A-??? Guess you guys are biased.

Cenobyte 5 pts

This presentation was a B- at best, I think most folks were left wondering what the hell the Wii U actually was while watching... very poorly delivered, they should have mentioned there was a console which would be included with the press releases later. On a software level how many more times do we have to watch the same titles being rehashed with slight enhancements to graphics or game play here and there? I love Zelda, but honestly how many more times must I play the same game (frankly I just don't anymore)? Why not try something out of the box, and I don't just mean higher rez models or skins or a few new features... make a T or M rated Zelda game, try something new, take a chance for %$^& sake! I love that Nintendo innovates with hardware, and has opened up gaming to a wider audience in the process, but their 1st party software is beginning to get old. I think the only good things that came out of that presentation is that Nintendo seems ready to recommit to core gamers... with a good range of 3rd party support and interesting new hardware.

icecoldkilla78 5 pts

cant understand how it got an A-... i consider myself a hardcore gamer and i saw nothing that interested me, guess im not in the market that they are tryin to attract.
