This week, our Diablo II preview turns to the five character classes in the game. However, the biggest news of the past week has been the postponement of the Diablo II beta test. Originally slated for earlier this month, it has been pushed back to October 30 so Blizzard North can spend more time on acts two and three and the finale. Blizzard feels those portions of the game still need more polish before the team can turn to running the beta test and implementing the suggestions that arise from it. So, you won't be seeing those beta discs for another month, and that means our four-part Diablo II preview is now a three-part preview. However, when we receive our beta discs in late October or early November, rest assured we will bring you a report on what we find within.

In the meantime, we'll proceed with this, our third installment, which takes a look at the five classes and presents Blizzard North's own comments on what makes each class unique and a force to be reckoned with. Much of the information in this preview came from lead designer Stieg Hedlund.
