Imperium Unit Descriptions and Strategies:
Scout Runners
Scout Runners are quite useful in the early Imperium campaign scenarios, mainly because their range permits them to attack Freedom Guard laser turrets safely. These units are quick and can hover, which grants them an advantage over comparable Freedom Guard Units, but their weak laser gun attack is only moderately effective against enemy armor and buildings.
Vulnerabilities
Scout Runners have relatively weak armor. Consequently, they are unable to survive direct assaults from Freedom Guard armored units for very long or exchange blows since their own laser gun attacks are too weak.
How to Get the Most out of Scout Runners
Notwithstanding their vulnerabilities, Scout Runners are one of the most useful units in the Imperium campaign early on. By attacking Freedom Guard laser turrets from a maximum range (diagonally), you'll be able to take them out without getting within their attack range. Unless absolutely necessary, don't engage in direct assaults against Freedom Guard armored units and use their speed and hover ability to retreat for repairs as soon as their damage level gets critical.
Scout Runners will live up to their name - use them to probe the limits of your enemy's base and to take out laser turrets.
