Imperium Unit Descriptions and Strategies:
Mobile Air Defense Units (MADs)

screenshot Very much the counterpart to the Freedom Guard's Flak Jacks but superior in every way, MADs are extremely effective at deterring Freedom Guard aerial incursions. Although they have no attack against ground units or buildings, a group of MADs can make short work out of any Freedom Guard aerial forces.

Vulnerabilities
MADs have no ability to attack enemy ground units or buildings and have limited armor.

How to Get the Most out of MADs
MADs are fairly quick and, like all Imperium armor, are hover vehicles capable of avoiding most Freedom Guard attacks by retreating across water or swampy territory. Group a few MADs together to provide an effective air defense for your offensive excursion groups. The Freedom Guard air units (Outriders and Sky Bikes) are nowhere near as dangerous as Imperium aerial units, but MADs are still useful for protecting your Tachion Tanks and artillery from aerial assaults. Don't forget to equip your bases with fixed antiair bases as well.
