Imperium Unit Descriptions and Strategies:
Exterminators
Extremely mobile troops, Exterminators can move over any surface. Exterminators attack using poly-acid grenades that are capable of reducing enemy armor to molten scrap metal.
Vulnerabilities
An Exterminator's attack is deadly against armored units but significantly less effective against infantry. And although Exterminators can dish out some serious punishment to Freedom Guard armor, Exterminators cannot tolerate much of an assault on themselves and have no defense against enemy air attacks.
How to Get the Most out of Exterminators
Exterminators have a lot going for them - they're mobile, relatively quick, and have a powerful attack - but the weak armor of Exterminators is a serious Achilles' heel, and you shouldn't put Exterminators on your front lines. Exterminators are far better deployed in a small group of four or five units held in reserve. Once a Freedom Guard attack is committed, move your Exterminators in to quickly move the odds in your favor by annihilating the enemy armored units. If you're in danger of being overwhelmed, run away with your Exterminators - there are very few Freedom Guard units capable of following Exterminators up hills or over water (and only air units can follow you over both types of terrain). You should be able to escape to fight another day. Stay away from Freedom Guard infantry and pick off unescorted armored units whenever the opportunity arises.
