Recon Drones

screenshot These units are the Imperium's main scouts. They are air units, so they can travel anywhere on the map, but have only light armor and no offensive capabilities.

Vulnerabilities
As indicated above, Recon Drones are completely defenseless. A couple hits from an Air Defense Site, and a Recon Drone is history.

How to Get the Most out of Recon Drones
Use them for scouting and set their damage tolerance to low so that they'll flee for repairs if they happen to wander into range of an enemy turret or unit capable of attacking aerial targets. Recon Drones serve as ideal spotters for your SCARAB Artillery. Move your Recon Drones manually and slowly into new territory. Immediately hit the s key if you wander into sighting range of enemy buildings - don't risk wandering into the attack range of an Air Defense Site. Either remain at your location and serve as an artillery spotter or retreat and continue exploring the fringes of the enemy base.
