Taelon Deposits
There are six Taelon deposits: one just south of your starting position, one even further south in the southwest corner of the map, one at the top of the map near the center, one in the northeast corner of the map, one near the far right of the map near the center, and one near the bottom of the map, a bit west of the center of the map.
Freshwater Springs
There are three freshwater springs and all of them are difficult to access. There's one southeast of your starting position and one further east near the top of the map. The last one is in the Imperium base in the southeast corner of the map.

Freedom Guard Strategy
You've got to get to one of the freshwater springs before the Imperium forces build up to overwhelming numbers. The spring to the east of your starting position is closest, but it's also defended by artillery from a little alcove at the top center of the map. The one further south is probably more accessible, but it is in range of another group of Imperium artillery units, which are located at the bottom center of the map. In total, the Imperium has four groups of SCARAB artillery, which are major threats to you. Make eliminating them one of your top priorities (the other two groups are in the southeast corner of the map in elevated positions within the Imperium base).
Morph your scouts, and send them out to look for Imperium buildings. Initially, your primary objective is to scout out the turrets guarding the freshwater springs. Take them out with your artillery once they've been located by your scouts. Establish a minibase near the freshwater spring southeast of your starting position. You'll be shelled almost immediately, but persevere and build some turrets to protect your position. Build a Phasing Facility, and then upgrade it so that you can use the Phase Runner to send "suicide squads" of mercenaries and Martyrs to take out the SCARAB artillery. Send scouts to locate the turrets protecting the artillery, then take out those turrets with your own artillery. This will give your suicide forces a better chance to destroy the artillery before being eliminated. Even if it takes a couple of runs with your Phase Runner to take out a group of artillery, it's well worth it.
Establishing a Water Launch Pad at the eastern freshwater spring should become your top priority after the southern artillery has been eliminated. Take out the artillery at the top of the screen using either your Phase Runner or your own artillery - you may have to sacrifice a scout or two to get the artillery units within visual range.
Leave the compound alone unless you don't have anything else to target with your artillery, and you want to pick off the guards, as you'll have to take out the rest of the Imperium base to complete the mission. Use the Phase Runner to take out the two artillery groups within the Imperium base, by using it to get Phase Tanks into the Imperium base. You may be able to get the tanks to take out the Imperium Water Launch Pad in the southeast corner as well, effectively crippling the Imperium's war effort.
Once you have wiped out the Imperium base, clear a path to the off-world transport (in the southeast corner of the map). You can get units into the compound using the Phase Runner, but to escape, you'll have to go through a narrow passageway in the eastern side of the compound and destroy a fence to get through. Take out the Genetic Research Facility as well, then let Karoch casually stroll to the off-world transport (or load him on board a RAT to protect him from stray Imperium units).
