Freshwater Springs
One is located in the bottom right corner of the map near your starting position; the second is located just to the left of your starting position. There are two additional freshwater springs in the Imperium base, in the top left corner (one of them is located near the top of the map and is quite vulnerable).
New Freedom Guard Units Available
Scouts, Rapid Armored Transports, Skirmish Tanks
New Imperium Units Available
Hover Tanks, Invader Troop Transports, Plasma Turrets (encountered for the first time)
Freedom Guard Strategy
Build a HQ and two Water Launch Pads (one to the west of your starting position, near the second freshwater spring). Build a Power Generator and a couple laser turrets to protect your western Water Launch Pad. Build an Assembly Plant and a Training Facility as soon as possible, and start assembling a force of Skirmish Tanks, Spider Bikes, and raiders. Advance north when you have a force of about a dozen units, keeping your forces together to attack the any Imperium forces. Take out the Imperium Power Generator to the North. You may want to build a Power Generator yourself at this location to harvest the Taelon, but don't send a Construction Rig out alone without an escort.
After getting some reinforcements, if needed, head west along the top of the map and attack the Imperium base from the North - you'll be able to cut the Imperium base off from one of the freshwater springs. To ensure quick success against the Imperium base (which is actually fairly well defended), you can probably build a minibase of your own near the freshwater spring - an Assembly Plant and a couple of turrets should give you a nice base of operations for taking out the rest of the Imperium base.
Remember that your Skirmish Tanks can take out the Plasma Turrets outside of their fire range. (Until you get a feel for both units' ranges, be cautious when approaching turrets to avoid accidentally entering their field of fire.) Don't let your Skirmish Tanks get lured into charging the Plasma Turrets - use the "attack without moving" button where necessary.
