Freedom Guard Unit Descriptions and Strategies:
Shock Waves

screenshot The ultimate weapon for the Freedom Guard. Unfortunately, Shock Waves are very slow and can't be loaded aboard a Phase Runner. If they can get their attack away, though, they're capable of wiping out a good portion of an enemy base.

Vulnerabilities
Shock Waves are defenseless against enemy units and turrets and move very slowly. Their attack has a limited range, so you'll have to get them pretty close to an enemy base to attack effectively. It also takes a Shock Wave several vulnerable moments to get its attack away once it begins.

How to Get the Most out of Shock Waves
It might be difficult to position a Shock Wave against a large enemy attack, but it can be extremely devastating. A far more effective use of Shock Waves is to march one up to an enemy base behind a wave of protective armor and Air Defense Units. Use scouts to locate the enemy base to ensure that there are no enemy units waiting in ambush, then move in the Shock Wave and set it off - its attack will go in a straight line, through multiple buildings. Try to take out the Imperium's turret wall so that the rest of your forces can storm the Imperium base.
