Freedom Guard Unit Descriptions and Strategies:
Triple Rail Hover Tanks

screenshot Once you get these beauties, the threat posed by Imperium Tachion Tanks will significantly lessen (of course, by that time, they'll have new threats for you). With excellent range and a powerful attack, especially against enemy armor, a force of Triple Rail Hover Tanks can handle just about any threat.

Vulnerabilities
Triple Rail Hover Tanks have no defense against air attacks, so once you wander away from your base, make sure you have an air defense escort if the Imperium is capable of creating air units. While Triple Rail Hover Tanks do well against all Imperium armor units, they are somewhat less effective against Imperium infantry (especially Exterminators), so use their speed to stay clear of large groups of infantry.

How to Get the Most out of Triple Rail Hover Tanks
Group Triple Rail Hover Tanks together to form an armored force capable of dispatching any Imperium armor. Triple Rail Hover Tanks also have a slightly longer range than Neutron Accelerators (although you might have to experiment to get a feel for their respective ranges).

Triple Rail Hover Tanks are also very expensive, so try not to take needless losses. Being hover vehicles, Triple Rail Hover Tanks can often escape from Imperium infantry by fleeing over swamps or water. It's worthwhile to park a mechanic or two safely on the other side of the swamp or water so that the Triple Rail Hover Tanks can quickly repair and return to the battle.
