The Freedom Guard
(the guys who wear the White Hats and have Black Eyes)

It's pretty hard not to be sympathetic to members of the poor old Freedom Guard. After all, the majority of its members are doomed to die at the tender age of 25, and during their short, violent lifetime, Freedom Guard members are subjected to the tyranny of the Imperium and forced to scour desolate planets for potable water.

Phase Tank You'll certainly develop some pathos for the Freedom Guard when you see what you'll be facing in its twelve missions. You'll always be a step or two behind your opponent's technology. When the Imperium starts blasting your forces with its heavily armored, ominous black Tachion Tanks, you'll be forced to defend and attack with Skirmish Tanks - awkward-looking creations, which look like they were hastily assembled using your Uncle Jim's farm tractors.

By the time you get access to formidable weapons, like the Hellstorm Artillery, the Imperium will have obtained the ability to construct flying Sky Fortresses, which can destroy a whole group of tanks with a single shot (yes, even those mighty Skirmish Tanks); and the Rift Creator, which is capable of pulling your best units and buildings into nothingness.

Intimidated yet?

Not to worry. In this guide I'll set out all of the tricks and the strategy tips you'll need to crush the Imperium down to size. I'll start with a few introductory tips on how to get the most out of each of the Freedom Guard units at your disposal, and continue with a detailed walk-through of each of the Freedom Guard scenarios.
