Back in Paris

In Nicole's apartment you will discuss Peagram once more. Afterwards, you should check the museum again as well as the police station. At the station, question the sergeant about Marquet repeatedly to get a new location, the hospital. Ask the inspector about Peagram and then about Marquet. Return to Nicole's apartment to discuss the Templars. You also can return to the police station now and press Rosseau on the subject of the Templars to see his interesting reaction.

 

At the Museum

Return to the museum to find Andre near the glass cases. Ask him about the manuscript, Montfaucon, the Templars, and then Phillipe in order to get the lengthy history of the Templars and their destruction. Ask about Peagram and lastly Nicole.

 

At the Hospital

In order to see Marquet, you must show her the ID card. She then will give you directions and warn you about Nurse Grendel. Go down the left hallway. In the next scene, speak with the floor polisher about his "Mr. Shiny." Also use the water cooler, and try the closet door. When you go into the ward (last exit on the left), Nurse Grendel will not let you speak with Marquet. Return to the hallways with the custodian. Pull the plug on Mr. Shiny (on the baseboard next to the water cooler). When the custodian plugs it back in and disappears behind the corner once again, quickly open the closet door. George will take the white doctor's coat and put it on. When you return to Nurse Grendel, she will mistake you for a doctor, hand you a blood pressure cuff, and send you on rounds. Explore all paths of conversation with the patients in beds 2 and 3. You will need to return to Nurse Grendel to get new orders. Once you seem to have exhausted all paths here, try to go to screen right to get to Marquet. Every time, the nearest patient will stop you and demand to have his blood pressure taken. To get past him, you need to return to the lobby of the hospital and speak with the elder doctor, who will assign you to guide the younger Dr. Benoir. Show Benoir the blood pressure cuff, and he will take it and follow you when you end the conversation. Bring him back up to the ward and talk to him again. Discuss the cuff. When he asks you whom he should treat, choose the older fellow in the nearest bed. Now you can get into Marquet's room. A long and intriguing cut scene will leave you back in Nicole's apartment with plenty of leads. After pursuing all topics with Nicole, you will be left with the choice of seeing the police or going to the museum. First, however, speak with the flower woman on Nicole's street to discover that Nicole is being watched.

 

The Police

Speak to the sergeant about the Cult of the Assassin. You also can call back Nicole for a small hint about what to do next.

 

The Museum Robbery

When you enter the museum, the guard will tell you that it is nearly closing time and that you wouldn't want to get locked in the place. Get the idea? Speak with Andre about the Cult and the tripod. Wait until the guard's back is turned, and open the window above the glass cases. When the guard goes to close it, hide in the mummy's sarcophagus. The cut scene of the robbery attempt begins. When George is out of the sarcophagus and control returns briefly to the player, use the totem pole. This will place George behind the pole and have him topple it, which will conclude the sequence and land you back at Nicole's apartment. After speaking with Nicole, return to the museum to discuss the manuscript thoroughly with Andre.

 

At Montfaucon

Speak to the policeman at the cafe and the juggler for entertaining banter. Take note of the manhole cover in front of the juggler. Enter the cathedral and examine the sarcophagi, statue, and each window. There is nothing to do here yet. If you go outside and try the manhole tool on the manhole, you will be stopped by the policeman. If you talk to him now about the juggler, you may get an idea about what you have to do. Show the policeman the red nose, and he will give you a better idea. Now, use the clown nose on yourself and speak with the juggler. Ask to juggle again, which will lead to a cut scene that dispenses with both the policeman and the juggler. Now read the plaque on the cathedral entrance.

 

In the Montfaucon Sewers

Go onto the boat and use the winch to lower the hook and chain onto the ground. Pick up the hook and use it on the panel mechanism. Return to the boat and use the winch, which will open the secret panel. Enter it. At the top of the stairway, look for a small area on the brightest part of the wall. Look in here to see the meeting of the Neo-Templars and hear of their plans. After this scene is over, look again in this spot for a scene that will end the meeting and leave the site empty. Now go down the stairs into the empty room. Look at the circle on the floor and the central pedestal. Place the tripod on the pedestal and the gem upon it. The cut scene will reveal new leads and return you to Nicole's apartment for a conversation. Spain is the next stop.
