Character Profile: Final Fantasy XIII-2
Does every snot-nosed, spiky-haired hero look the same to you? Fear not: We're here to tell you who's who in Final Fantasy XIII-2.
Serah Farron

Serah spent most of Final Fantasy XIII trapped in crystal, only to be tapped for leading-lady status in Final Fantasy XIII-2. She loves her sister Lightning--so much so that she is defined more by her longing to be reunited with her sibling than by her own strengths as an individual.
Regardless, she possesses notable inner courage, though she often has to be pushed to use it.
Teaches: History, arithmetic, quantum physics.
Hates Her Parents: For spelling her name like that.
Noel Kreiss

Noel is the last of his kind. He arrives in Valhalla at the end of days, only for Lightning to send him into the past, where he lands in New Bodhum, Serah's home. Noel knows more than he lets on; it's clear that he knows Caius, the man determined to stop Noel from altering the future, yet Noel keeps the nature of that relationship closely guarded. Eventually, Serah peels back the veil of secrecy, revealing not just what drives Noel, but also what drives his apparent nemesis, Caius.
Wouldn't Hurt: A fly.
Would Hurt: Snow's feelings.

Thanks for those videos~ They are really fantastic~!
Beat the first one, enjoy this one enough to get every fragment and fight every boss on Normal. Played Easy for 2 minutes and found no challenge. Main problem with this game is the want to succeed to a game like Chrono Trigger. Sadly it falls short with the story part, has issues with combat. Still fun, but nowhere near the caliber of pre FFX.
after FF X , the Final Fantasy series have strayed away from its identity as an RPG game with great and touching story.......come on Square Enix, you guys can do better than this.
@Bhargav_pvs Cool Profile Pic Dude. Funny profiles from gamespot
I love the FF series and JRPG's in general; but I am getting a tad tired of the males looking like Ladyboys!
They're not exactly the same, but the number of "he/she looks a lot like"-moments are as plenty as the number of FF games.
@GeorgeUC3: nice man....
Listen guys, these games are not for dump kids addicted to call of duty or others who hate FF because the previous ffs were better. Square Enix is really trying to satisfy you but you appreciate Nothing!!
FF series is always good ;)...... I've played 6 games from FF series and i'll play this one too :D I think i like them. :D
i have the game since it cameout n i been playing 24/7 non stop but sometime i have to go to sleep but yeah bro the gameplay and music are the best but i will wait for FFX hd or remastered
I don't know what it is, but when I see these characters, their faces, the way they are dressed, I get really mad. Really mad and annoyed. Then the music comes in and cinches the deal. Please stop making these games and spend the money on something worthwhile. I think this game releases estrogen into the air, that would explain a lot.
These characters (and every FF game from the past 10 years) is one bewildering pile of WTF.
got this game a couple of hours ago and i can't wait to get home so i can play it
@JeffBordonaro He's also playing the main character from Bioshock: Infinite. Male leads must be his thang
Snow looks like an idiot without his beanie, mainly because...........HELLO people he has a mullet and his trashy beard that grows in patches isnt helping him out much either.
Another awesome thing I found out about XIII was when I was sitting in a mindset of bliss playing this game and hearing snow talk...I was like "this sounds familiar....its the guy from catherine!!!"....cause vincent from catherine was voiced by troy baker as well xD (Edit) Oh...you can tell I like Vincent
R.I.P. Square. You will be missed.
i have just got it. the game system has changed about 50% better. compare to the first, it is much better and more addicted. love part 2..
Nice profiles
The game sucks Just like square enix does
Wayyy too much coverage on this game. Still must finish the first one......
it would be a nice if Snow was the main character with Serah and put a few romance scenes like final fantasy 10 then boooooooooooooooom best games ever
"She loves her sister Lightning--so much so that she is defined more by her longing to be reunited with her sibling than by her own strengths as an individual." Well, I love Lightning too. I can relate to Serah when she's presented that way more than I could when she was Snow's damsel in distress.
I think Snow still looks stupid regardless if he has his beanie on or not.
Not looking forward to these two as the main characters... I'd gladly be wrong though and change my mind when I play the game myself but I doubt that's going to happen.
Noel is obviously a reaction to people calling Snow a Pedo LAWL
@fatee "JRPGs evolving", is quite a tall order if you yourself coudn't define what a JRPG should mean. Are JRPG needs to be anime-like? Should it be turn-based? If a RPG from Japan would feature a main character as a non-spiky-silent-awesomeness, would you say that its a JRPG? I'd say JRPGs are what they are, same as shooters (which by the way flood the market especially the FPS) that is trying hard to be Modern Warfare-like in terms of success. And we (who likes to play JRPGs) have a short end of the stick, since JRPGs (as you would call it) already evolved but 90% of it is not ported to USA and they are certainly not necessary in console format. Only Enix have the power to port their games over here. To put it short, "JRPGs ARE EVOLVING. SQUARE, CERTAINLY NOT. NOT IN ANY FORESEEABLE FUTURE.

@Tikeio Considering that Square Enix has already designed such a poster boy with a hell lot more masculine look for Finally Fantasy XIV but still retaining the "Western-looking Asian" look (to quote Danny O'Dwyer), one would wonder why Square regressed.
Fun writting Kevin, address Odin as a pony, that's all-out-laughing stuff.
@Gelugon baat, sorry my bad of not noticing the character you referred to, still overly girlish is an issue here, Kevin mentioned that in the review and gametrailers' review even did a montage on it.
@fatee, argeed. In fact, I'm totally looking forward to a WPRG set in Japan. @Gelugon baat, in case you did not notice, Serah's problem is not tsundere, it is moe, aka overly girlish.

JRPGs need to evolve.
Alyssa: Because Square Enix cannot let go of the loud, feisty character archetype that the Japanese loves so much. :P (They their themes, you see.)
That's a hilarious portrayal of Odin in Lightning's profile.
