Computers are leaving the desktop, replacing our address books, integrating into our wireless phones. They can record hours of our favorite TV shows (and record even those that it thinks we might like) and take out the commercials. Or if you want, it will let you rewind a live program. And all these devices can hook up to the Internet. That doesn't even cover the fact that set top boxes may actually become a reality. The biggest consumer electronics giant is going to make a game/DVD playing machine with insane specs. Oh, and not to mention that the world's largest software giant run by the richest man in the, well, world, is making its own set top box. Both companies are already into every damn thing we use in our everyday lives.

Think about it. Screw sitting at home, I can go to the park and play some Quake. No wait, I have to make a presentation to three countries at once, talk to my friend in the Netherlands, edit a home movie and upload it onto an online film festival, move some money from one account to another, buy gifts, and get a map, directions, and find out the weather. You have online opinion voting, tallied and broadcast during live TV shows, QVC, e-commerce, and overnight delivery on Saturday, and soon they will come on Sunday. Hell, I can have a package delivered to Paris the same day I send it off.

OK, what does this all mean? It means we all must start thinking a little bit differently and that there are things out there that demand our creative attention.

5. Now that you've told us where we might be one day, where do you realistically see games in two, five, and ten years down the road? When do you think your vision might become a reality?

Justin: If and when my vision becomes reality, there will be 100 new ideas to replace it. If not, I might as well retire. As I described previously, things change, and they change fast. Either you keep up, or you change careers, retire, or die.
