Anachronox

So here we are, working on our next deadline: finishing the city of Anachronox by my birthday, September 2. To finish it, we'll have to implement virtually everything that's going into the game, so the rest of the project will be pretty much all data work.
Without these little subtasks, a team can lose focus and feel like they're not getting anywhere, kind of like in a game: It's a lot easier to feel a sense of accomplishment when you have a level completed and can say you did something. It's really nice to be able to reach a goal and lean back in your chair and sigh a contented sigh.
Right now, QuakeCon is wreaking havoc with our work. Some people are shuffling in and out, others are gone, while still others have tons of friends staying with them. Squirrel and Cleaner are renting my old house and have ten computers set up in the living room for days of playing deathmatch. (I hope a few of them shower.)
