Anachronox

July 16, 1997

Just got over one of the worst obstacles a designer can face - writing back people from their business cards after E3. So many cards stuck in every nook and cranny of the bags I brought back.

The sketch whirlwind continues. Ben Herrara, our concept artist guy, is pumping out sketches of the creatures, some NPCs, concept designs of Anachronox itself, and the places therein. We plan to have the full functionality of the game done by September 2nd (my birthday). Wish us luck.

I've just started The Last Express, Star Fox 64, and I'm in the middle of replaying Day of the Tentacle at home. People here are playing Tomb Raider, Marble Drop, and most pervasively, Dungeon Keeper. I tried that out, but that looks like a huge, engulfing game, so I'm kind of waiting for a free weekend to really get into it. Sadly, I don't seem to have those, but....

On a personal note, my new house is cool. A couple days ago I was dog tired, so I decided to call it a day. I went home, laid down on the couch, threw a comforter over me, got a book, and settled back for the first time in my new house, finally enjoying it...

BSKKSKKKHHSKKSHHK!

It sounded like a gunshot! Glass flew everywhere; a piece landed two inches from my head! I wheeled around. There was a hole in the breakfast nook window - a golf ball-sized hole!

Those culprits will pay!
