Oblivion

Bethesda delayed Oblivion for the PS3 from Q4 2006 to March 2007, but it looks like the developers made good use of that extra time to improve graphics for the PS3. The PS3's textures have more detail and stay sharp farther into the distance. We actually preferred how the 360's low-res ground outside the stables looked compared to the PS3's sharper yet bland-looking ground, but it could just be an artwork issue since the PS3 has better looking stonework in our city shot where both systems share similar base textures. Character models definitely look better on the PS3. The armor on the standing guard shows more intricate detailing on the PS3. Bethesda has indicated that it plans on upgrading the 360 version's graphics up to PS3 levels, but last week's 360 patch didn't seem to include any of the PS3's graphical improvements.

    Foward Stop reporting me I've done nothening wrong but put u in ur places for puting me down try to say that i am "u r just a halo hater u dont appreciate good games because u get jealous"
    When that is something i'm not to point like i said in the commant i left and you got Gamespot to take it of i have RFOM on my PS3 and i don't really like that to and i have Halo 1 2 3, Just because i don't like these games after playing them doesn't mean I'm jealous because theres nothing for me to be jealous about.

    hmmmmmm does anyone really care about how much a game sales get over being a stinking fan boy and just play the game cause you like playing games lol. Right now i'm busy with collage so i don't have to time to play any games. But i'm waiting for FF 13.

    What happened to the graphics comparison arguments? I liked them, the 'xbox overheats if you leave it switched on in a hot room for 17 hours' argument is old. Same with the 'PS3 has no games so get a 360' one. They need a new comparison feature. One with things like The Simpsons Game, Kane & Lynch and maybe Orange Box if it ever manages to make it to its PS3 date.

    w8 h2owizard the new xbox s come with hdmi cable wow i never knew that the one i got came with the compenent hd cables well guess ur lucky man and u know wat valdaviper12 those people who put in the middle of the room forgot that they are suppose to put in a place where it is well ventalated not near walls and fyi the toysrus 360s are gettting sufocated in the glass covers so they have no space to breath
    even ps3s have faults but not that much check broken ps3 on youtube ull see

    fowad i got the red ring of death around 4:00 as soon as i got it i didnt log on to gamespot lol i tried to fix it but after a while i gave up so i went to best buy and got another one just for halo 3 lol, im gonna return it when i get my old repaired one back, but the new ones have the hdmi cable i thought only the elites have those...
    i would have gotten a ps3 instead if it had more games that suit my tastes, i am soo pissed today i cant think strait, i thought this would never happen to my 360 i had it all perfect and i didnt plug it into a surge protector. mann that really suks, i preorderd my copy from circuit city so they sent it through the mail, and the discs only have minor scratches, but i think halo 3 messed up my old 360... mabey

    LOL this forum is amazingly anti ps3. first off I would like to say that on many of these pics the ps3 wins, but the 360 also wins=so in my eyes the 360 is a bit smoother, but the ps3 is a bit better in its graphics. these games r mostly ports once again, and not only that they dont even use hdmi for the ps3. hdmi looks better over component. true it doesnt make much of a deal, but when ur comparing photos like the ones above, the ps3 would be better off using the hdmi cables(not expensive). anyways my last post was deleted because i was "off topic" WELL MODERATORS: IM SORRY if i was talking about halo3 discs being scratched(similar to 360 problems) while everyone was talking about halo for days and days. i rarely get on, but when i do i get modded . anyways fowad, u bring up an interesting point, true u could probably open the disc, and see if it is scratched, but while thats heartwarming that u dont have to send anything and wait, it still requires u to make sure of something that shouldnt have happened. and about the 360 overheating thing. fowad......buddy......go on youtube, and see ...theres videos of 360's overheating sitting in the middle of a room. middle of a room, middleof a room(echo?) anyways, theres also(or at least there was) a video of a 360 overheated/red rings on at a TOYSRUS(a toy store here in the united states) theres another video of a 360 overheated in a walmart(or target)(i forgot). anyways. we've already argued about this since like dec 2006 go read on the other forum .

    godamm **** microsoft i just got the red ring of death while playing halo 3 today it was on the part when you get to ride on the wart hogs at first. i got the collectors edition and those are th ones that come scratched. im soo pissed off that im on the sony side for now, did it have to be when i was just about to play some halo 3? i am soooo pissed off, now i know how everybody feels, and i spent 80 bux on halo 3.

    fowad- you are acting like i am a ps3 fanboy pretending to have halo3 so i can diss it and get away with it and that offends me sort of because i love halo and i have all of them and i have 2 halo ones for the pc so i can play on a lan with my dad, halo is one of my favorite games, ok i just wanted to make that clear, cause i thought you knew that im neutral before.

    fowad if ur asking me than dont be like that the 360 is my only next gen console and who said that i was ever on the ps3 side, you gotta pay attention buddy, but the pc is my primary system now, im neutral on consoles, my gamer tag is the same as my name and i think i have about 2500 gamer points.

    i am a complete halo fan and i have been playing halo 1 online for four years. i dont have live gold though but ill get it just for halo 3.

    exactly h2owizard see halo 3 sold 170 million in its first day more than the movies spiderman 3 and harry potter
    exactly all this hype was for real
    and if u say halo 3 is a 5 hour game no its not i admit the campaign is short but who cares about campaign once thats over people got halo 3 s multiplayer, forge , and teater mode in which people spend limitless hours playing if u check the bungie website halo 3 had about 4 million games played in the last 24 hours
    and at least halo 3 provides with great multiplayer that people will always play
    peopel still play halo 1 for pc there about 2000 players who play it and wat about heavenly sword was it not a short game only 8 hours of gameplay on a 25 gig blueray disc hu h huh exactly and it only offered 1 player , no multiplayer which was a shame
    graphics were good but too short at least halo 3 has so many things u can do with it if u watch the gamespot halo 3 video review they will explain everythign
    and halo 3 is the only game that u can actually interact with the videos u save
    meaning u can play the movie and atuaclly view the other side of the map to see wat are people doing while the movign is running and u can modify ur own maps. so tell me what bs u have to say about halo 3 after u watch the video review ok peace

    anywayz, i saw at tgs the new wireless sixaxis rumble controler for the ps3, now this is nice, the bad thing about it is that it will not come with the ps3 it will come separately i i'm guessing it won't be that cheap......anyway i wasn't a big fan of the rumble controller.....

    o and fowad, i don't think you didn't report anybody, to be honest...and i don't really think you didn't report him, the same story about u jay_hood, if you 2 didn't report him who did? some guy just "passing by" saw his posts and said, hey i'm, gonna report him cuz i don't like his ideas! oh please, h2owiz didn't report him(cuz he was a good friend of his) i didn't report him, cuz i liked many of he's ideas and i'm neutral because i'm a pc gamer, and besides i am totally anti reporting(lol), i never and i mean NEVER reported anybody. i didn't want to write this but i wanted to speak out my opinion.
