World Cup Grudge Match
Revisit our US vs. UK World Cup Grudge Match and find out which team reigned supreme!
orld Cup fever begins two days early here at GameSpot! Although the real 2006 World Cup doesn't start until Friday, June 9, we're getting a head start on the month-long sporting festivities with another live event broadcast: The 2006 GameSpot World Cup. Of course, it wouldn't be a World Cup without some international flavor, which is why we're pitting two editors from GameSpot's San Francisco headquarters against the battle-hardened GameSpot UK crew in jolly old England! Four editors playing EA Sports' 2006 FIFA World Cup for Xbox 360, with play-by-play commentary provided by Rich Gallup and noted soccer football expert Jeff Gerstmann, and it's all happening LIVE. Will the upstart American crew teach the UK hooligans a thing or two about the beautiful game or will GameSpot UK provide their American rivals with a footy beatdown, bangers and mash-style? Tune in on Wednesday, June 7 at noon PDT (8 p.m. in London) to see it all go down LIVE!
