RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 is the third game in a popular series, and its most obvious new feature is its all-new 3D visuals. You can move the camera around, zoom in and out, and even "ride" the coasters from a first-person perspective. To build out your park, you select what you want to build, rotate it around to orient it in the direction you want, and plop it down. You can choose from one of five themes for your attractions, including a haunted house theme and a prehistoric theme. In any case, your goal will be to create enjoyable, profitable attractions for your peeps--the customers who visit your park, ride your rides, buy your cotton candy and soda pop, and even get sick if your rides are a bit too exciting for them.

RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 will be the first game in the series to feature a sandbox mode in which you can build the park of your dreams without having to worry about the usual constraints, such as money. The primary mode of play, though, will be the scenario-based career mode with no time limits. Any of the game's modes will let you use the game's powerful editing tools, which let you quickly build up or flatten land, create your own scenarios, create your own ride music using MP3 files on your hard drive, and even program the sequence of fireworks that go off above your park at night.
