Chapter 5: Tech Upgrades
This section reveals details on all 11 tech upgrades and their precise location in the game. You must recover the tech upgrade then complete the corresponding mission successfully to receive the upgrade for all future mission plays.
Advanced Lasers
Description: Improves the power of laser cannons on every craft.
Location: Found on the Defiance on Dantooine level on the third part when you're on the speeder bike escorting Tycho back to the Rebel landing zone. After the second jump, move your speeder bike to the path on the left. You may need to use the "L" button to slow as you traverse this path. Run over the power-up to secure the advanced lasers tech upgrade. This is an ideal tech upgrade to possess; it makes nearly every mission much, much easier (particularly for achieving higher medals).
Advanced Photon Torpedo
Description: Improves the penetrating power of photon torpedoes.
Location: Found on the Relics of Geonosis level on the ground portion of the level. After battling through groups of battle droids (after you take control of the cannon then continue on and round the corner to the right), check the escape pod on the left. Approach the escape pod's entrance to recover the advanced photon torpedo tech upgrade.
Homing Photon Torpedo
Description: All proton torpedoes will now track the target they were fired at.
Location: Found on the Extraction from Ralltiir level on the AT-ST segment of the level. After the first right turn, look in the alcove to the right to find the power-up icon. Move your AT-ST over the icon to secure the homing photon torpedo tech upgrade.
Advanced Proton Bomb
Description: More powerful proton bombs.
Location: Found on the Raid at Bakura level on the TIE bomber segment (to activate this segment, you must achieve at least silver medal statistics on the first segment). The tech upgrade is found in the last structure before you locate Hobbie. It's the third of three structures in a row (the first two have satellite dishes on the top). Bomb the third structure and fly into the power-up icon to secure the advanced proton bomb tech upgrade.
Spread Proton Bomb
Description: A wider range of effect for each proton bomb.Location: Found on the Deception at Destrillion level on the third segment with the Y-Wing. Maneuver your Y-Wing into the circular structure in the center of the three targeting relays. You can fly down into this structure. Move near the bottom and run over the power-up icon to recover the spread proton bombs tech upgrade.
