Introduction

Ultima IX: Ascension is the latest and final installment of Richard Garriot's venerable Ultima series of computer games. With nearly 20 years of history behind the saga, Ultima IX closes out the ever-popular Ultima RPG series.

You play the avatar, an embodiment of the eight virtues of Britannia. Your quest is to find and restore eight shrines across Britannia, each with a corresponding dungeon and virtue. Once they have all been cleansed, you must find and destroy the guardian, a powerful, evil overlord who has scarred and changed the land since the avatar's last appearance.

To aid you in your quest, we'll provide a detailed, in-depth walk-through, along with descriptions of monsters, spells, items, and all kinds of equipment.
