It's our annual tradition to select the best games of the year, but each year we're proud to turn that choice over to you as well. Thousands of readers participated in the 1999 Readers' Choice Awards, and the results range from obvious to surprising.
For each award, we present the winner and the first runner-up, along with the top five games percentage-wise in each category. The exceptions to this rule are the awards for Science-Fiction Simulation of the Year and Puzzles & Classics Game of the Year, both of which include the top four and top three contenders, respectively. And Game of the Year shows the top ten games, according to your votes.
And now, without further ado, here are the winners.
