Not for the feint of heart... But still worth every hour!

I gave the PC demo of FF7 a short try way back when it was released on the PC. It didn't capture me then but having read a lot of positive reviews, and the high praise it received from a friend made me decide to give it another try. This time on the PS2.
I am well aware that it's an old game. And it looks like one. But it doesn't play like one and the fun I had with it was not stale nor dusty. After completing it I, with almost every unlockable unlocked, I can only say that it's a great game. It probably was a lot more revolutionary and exciting back then, but even today, the combat system still works and especially the Materia system is unlike anything I have ever played with in a game.
Storywise I was sometime a bit bored or got distracted and I think that could have done with some polishing but overall it was a worthwhile read and journey.
Especially for RPG die-hards this is a must play. And I am glad that I had the pleasure of making my friend a little jealous when I told him how "easy" I dispatched the Ruby and Emerald weapons.
