The tale of the souless characters...

Fatal Frame III can only be described as an utterly pathetic incursion into the horror genre. As soon as you take control of the main character you realise you'll have to deal with the horrible way the characters move and how slow they are. There's not much to be said other than you have characters with the worst background ever which doesn't help at all to the lack of a good story in the game.
Fatal Frame tryed to use the sound to provoke fear just like Silent Hill, but instead it undermined itself. The creepy voices come in times that you're too tired of walking aimlesly up and down into a giant mansion to even care, soon the lack of music doesn't creat any kind of mood but rather takes it away completly. As I said before the mansion is huge and you don't have enough leads to give you a clear direction of what to do. Plus when you finally get that "Butterfly Key" or something you'll probably have forgotten already where the hell is the door to use the item.
The graphics are weak and soon you'll get tired of that damn CG where the girl wakes up, since this CG comes up all damn time. this is probably the worst game I ever played for PS2.
