Far Cry 6 follows the typical Ubisoft formula. It could have been Assassin's Creed, Ghost Recon or Watch Dogs and it would still be the same. It looks and plays very similar to Wildlands, something not bad at all, but not quite acceptable almost 4 years and a new generation later.
I fully undestand that they can't move on to the new generation completely both due to the shortage of new generation consoles and the vast amount of previous ones. Still, the game looks really bland in my RTX3070. It feels like no improvements have been made since Far Cry 5, which came out 3.5 years ago.
As for the rest, it is what you would expect from a Ubisoft game. A big map full of the same things as all Ubisoft games to do. Rescue missions, camp clearing, racing and fighting minigames, hunting, fishing, improving your camps, weapons, gear etc etc. Basically, the same thing that Ubisoft wanted us to do with Valhalla a year ago.
Yes, it will hook you in, yes it is not bad, but there have to be some distinctions between their games. It is like there is no motivation for them to create something slightly different or new and they copy paste formulas from one game to another to a point that everything looks the same.
