After playing first 2-3h of the game I wrote my opinion on it. It struck me as very FC3-like game and I thought this is good enough to bypass rest of the gameplay since it is going to be as fun as FC3. It is not.

First off: Yes this game looks great. This has not changed but as much as I love great looking games this one is not beautiful enough to compensate for utterly boring missions, awful characters and practically no story.

Let's start with the characters. FC4 in its structure is the same as FC3. You do stuff and after a while someone is calling you asking to meet with him/her as he/she have something for you. However in FC4 you almost wish those characters would not exist. They are so bad that after some time when you know there's cutscene ahead you just take this time to make a sandwich or check on the sleeping kids. In what game you cannot skip a cutscene? In what game cutscenes are the least entertaining part of the game? I was so bored with it that I even started to pay attention to the voice acting which was very very very bad. It's a shame that your big enemy is gone for so long after you first meet him. Pagan Min is the only character that could save the entire game. But he appears only two or three times...

Missions are very generic. Many are exactly the same as in FC3. Others are just straight forward boring. Game is not challenging at all. I really do not know for whom it was made? Think of the easiest game in the world. FC4 is even easier. In FC3 the story was good enough that you did not pay much attention to those stuff. And there was a mission with a flamethrower!!! Here? Nothing like it. Only good "new" thing were Strongholds.

Story... Not much to say about it. The whole game starts very well. Very. But then 90% of all missions are made for some stupid NPCs that you wish you never met. It's a little like in Red Dead Redemption: New place = new character = you have to "go there pick this thing for me and come back" => you progress. Over and over again. Story is almost irrelevant. I really do not know how they missed that? How can you play most missions which almost in no way affect your main goal? Out of 30 or something missions maybe 5 were directly connected with overthrowing Pagan Min.

Last but not least: Save system. It's broken. You often respawn in random location. If you stop playing during the mission (but after checkpoint) you will have to start the whole mission all over again. Why "checkpoints" then? Frustrating.

Game is not worth the money. Another Ubisoft game where main character is completely irrelevant. Story is irrelevant. Where NPC makes you want to kill them just for the privilege of not watching the next cutscene. It will give you high hopes at the beginning and then crush it with every new mission every new character.
