Far Cry 3 Financial Planning

The financial planing for Far cry 3 is quite simple:

Fase 1 kill and loot everything you see

Fase 2 ?????

Fase 3 Profit! 

To be honest I have never had a problem with money at all. Only time I haven't had enough money was early on when I was trying to by cool skins for my guns. No problem at all with ammo and usually I cant pick up any more loot or money...

i dont get it, my wallet is always full i have 6k , ive bought everything thats available for me to buy and im not halfway through the first island.. i cant sell my loot cos my wallet is full, and ive just started to resort to wasting ammo by just throwing all my grenades and molatovs at just about anything that moves

Don't really need a big wallet anyway. Money was sorta disappointing. I played every outpost with a silenced sniper or MP5+red dot til I got the Bushman(epic). I had more fun taking every post silently.

Money's no problem later in the game. But for the first quarter, it may help to quickly unlock those radio towers to unlock the MS16. Then, equip a silencer & scope of your preference & you now have a sniper that fires assault rifle ammo.

Why the MS16? It's accurate & does the most damage per shot for a rifle. Why a rifle? Because most pirates carry AK's that will keep your rifle ammo full.

Why not use the bow? I prefer the MS16 because it's easier to get head-shots for 2.5x XP (when it's not possible or too inconvenient to go for a take-down). Hope this helps :)

Oh yeah, try this when clearing a camp: throw a grenade just outside the camp. Wait for everyone to come investigate. Throw another grenade. Instant win! Plus a multi-kill bonus.

I don't care about the money, I go stealthy (generally with my sniper rifle) for the XP bonus.

yeah im sick of spending all that cash on ammo i need to switch to the bow..

i think someone is over-analyzing the game. lol!

best game i've ever played to date!. the game is so freaking awesome.. i'm really speechless. i've haven't seen such a beautiful game in my life. this game exceed many games that i've played in terms of graphics, immersion and story. GOTY!

Usually (if there's no animal cage) I use a sniper rifle or the camera to scope the place out and then stealth or snipe until I'm discovered.  Never really had to worry over ammo to much as long as I was looting most things.  (SPOILER ALERT)  The automatic loot stealth kill works wonders and bursts your inventory.

Geesus, it's so easy to earn money in this game.  As a matter of fact, I quickly finished the hunting quests to make the biggest wallet because I was constantly running out of space.  Loot body's, loot chests, you'll collect so much money that purchasing ammo (or anything else) won't be a problem.  Also, let's be real here, if you're primarily using an assualt rifle (like most people) then you'll pick up tons of ammo from felled enemies.  Lastly, if ammo is such a concern, try being stealthy for a change.  This topic is pointless.

Do not fall for this gamespot scam. Sure they give you some nice free tips, but soon you are paying for all kinds of advice that never offers much in return.

If you need money in far cry, you gotta work for it the old fashion way like everyone else.

but does it mater i have been playing borderlands and i have more money. any think you can buy is crap even med-packs you just heal after some time

Great Video. I cant get enough of this game. Learned pretty early how valuable the bow was. Not only is it a one shot kill on most enemies and beasts, you can reclaim the same arrow over and over. When I need some quick cash for a weapon or upgrade I just equip the bow, head to an area with a lot of wildlife, and make an easy $500 with just that one arrow. Love this game, great video.

I'm really enjoying FC3 but it's way too easy to collect money and crafting items are a short lived chore once you have collected all the leather from animals. Crafting items I feel should entail using parts from animals and other materials around the island like wood, stone and spare mechanical parts to upgrade weapons or make your own.

This is the most worthless video of the year. Earning money is irrelevant because you get so much of it and i had no trouble earning money because my shark skin wallet was always loaded. Is gamespot bored or just lazy making crap like this.

As long as you do all the side missions, you will have more than enough money to buy ammo. Of course, i'm also assuming that people never buy guns, but get the guns for free by activating radio towers

Just loot treasure chests and sell your findings. You'll be swimming in thousand of dollars pretty soon. And you'll be on your way to have fun however you want without having to have insane concerns of your wallet.

Also, Andy Bauman, I've been watching a couple of videos from you and I noticed that at times, I don't understand what you're saying. It sounds muffled and unclear. You should either slow down or try to speak clearly.

I haven't played it yet because I'm a sadomasochist, but I thought you could restock for free at an outpost after you capture it? 

This was really cool to me, you have to get everything you can out of a game, and I think to do that in a lot of open world games like Far Cry 3 you have to make up some of your own challenges. Like in Skyrim I won't use health potions and when my character dies I delete him and start a new one. Or I'll make up my own storyline and try and kill certain npc's undetected, or get caught and go to jail and then not recover all my equipment and see what its like to try and salvage from the remains of the few bandits you're able to kill. It's super geeky, but hey, these are role playing games right? Play a role.

I see how people are making this whole story a mere one sided assault to feed your thirst for stereotyping(i.e.obama administration). I also understand some kids might have weaknesses other kids love to manipulate  others worse surprising enough?I have been jumped, lied about, deserted, disrespected, and all i hear is oh someone shot this person or someone shot that person but you CAN NOT POINT YOUR FINGER AT ANYONE FOR WHAT HAPPENED AT THAT SCHOOL.
