After Far Cry 2, I will be at least trying this game because Far Cry 2 was pretty good (though a broken game). Hopefully there will be less glitches and a better story line and maybe this game will surprise critics

People aren't scary. Monsters are scary. Insane is actually not that scary. Listen Insane people do insane thing but they don't sit back while nations go about committing genocide in the middle east. Really when that is sanity do you really want to be sane? No of course not. Seriously Sane is way scarier than insane.

@dagrimmreepa: My thoughts exactly. Assassins Creed is THE BEST comparison for LA Noire... kinda like tech demo, shows potential and has lots of scope for improvement in sequel. A great innovative idea that needs to improve execution.

I wish they would bring back the ability to set traps (pull tree branches back etc).

shooting looks much much better..FarCry 2 shooting was lame. really lame

@teck157713 - I felt like LA Noire was a really, really good representation of what they will do with the sequel, but it wasn't necessarily a great game. It's kinda like a tech demo, like the first Assassin's Creed was - they built this great world with fantastic gameplay elements, now, with the next title, they can focus their attention on execution.

That demo is so awesome. I love how, when games such as BF and CoD are trying to shock and wow audiences with loud bangs and crazy set pieces, Far Cry stole the show by making the trailer extremely emotionally satisfying. Great voice acting, fantastic dialog and writing. That whole "what is madness" speech was electrifying, especially how it comes full circle at the end... I loved the first FC but didn't care that much for 2, this looks like it's gonna be awesome.

@teck157713 Go buy the first few Far Cry's, Assassins Creeds, Tom Clancy games, and the numerous other great games Ubisoft has made. Dumbass.

Where is the live stage demo? This is the interview they released back on Monday. I missed it the first time they showed the stage demo cause the live feed was horrible and skipping on GS. is this what they played or did they do something new?

@teck157713 Someone's obviously never played the original Far Cry...

Far Cry 2 was a great game, and could have been so much more interesting if the main storyline and setting was developed properly. And less repetitive as well. Still a great game though, if only for the gameplay and graphics.

Never played a Farcry before, this looks pretty cool. Not a breakthrough in any way, still looks like fun. I can't believe the interviewer didn't ask about multiplayer :(

I really hope you can take the HUD off, I really like that there wasnt a a hud in fc2, made it more immersive. And that +10 is annoying

all great except that odd +10 for a kill, wer did that come from?

Here's hoping stealth is actually achievable in this iteration. Enemy omniscience made stealth nigh-impossible in Far Cry 2.

I wanna know a few things: 1) Can the +10s be turned off? It's kind of obnoxious to have them flying all over the place in a game that is as otherwise immersive as Far Cry. Judging by the original E3 Stage Demo (which didn't show the +10s) they can probably be toggled. 2) Weapon degradation? Is it back? It was annoying at first, but it made me really excited to finally get that pristine condition AR-15 with the scope and go nuts with it. It even sounded better. 3) Fire propagation, I conjure, is probably out. Doesn't have as much place on an island as it would in the African savanna and forests. Can we expect something similar, however? I do like how the cascade of the waterfall was used as a veil when he silently took out that first guy, so it's good to see the environment still plays a part. 4) Buddies. I loved them in the last game. The end was frustrating when ***SPOILER ALERT*** ihadtokillthemall and whenfrankdiedandicouldntrevivehim ***END SPOILER*** That all being said, I'd be really pleased to have some buddies in this game, even if its more temporary than the other ones. Just please don't bring back Warren Clyde. He was an asshat. 5) This should really go without saying, but please please please don't include a) mutants b) beast powers c) malaria. Also, d) That asshat Warren Clyde. Thank you.

Looks cool... I liked Far Cry 3... Graphics look pretty nice... but what's the big draw to it? Seems like it'll be a good (though not extraordinary) and seem like it'll be solid. We'll see I suppose. I'll buy it over Mw3 any day. lol :D

"our focus is to make the game feel very, very real" Oh really Mr. Developer? I will definitely have to go out into the street, try shooting somebody to see if a +10 flies up into the air

You want to make this exciting; allow the protagonist to be caught in the middle of three (yes not just two, but 3) different fractions/armies. Giving you the option to go through it in as much stealth as possible if you desire or guns blazing yet with a price of having the enemy AI chasing you down and flanking you like in Far Cry thus the price to pay being taking longer to get through each level. Also the ability to ease drop and listen in on say 100's of different dialog/conversations about the current events more so than Far Cry had. Throw a lot of mystery in there allowing the protagonist to have to solve a lot of the story plot as well. ;)
