One of my favorite FPS series!
I was probably one of the few gamers who really loved Far Cry 2. I never understood why people had to nitpick the game. I loved the Africa wilderness and the huge map. I didn't mind driving far distances, as there was always something exciting happening on the way. And I loved the challenges.
When I started to play this game, I first missed the Far Cry 2 atmosphere but then quickly started to enjoy the tropical island settings, which reminded me of the first Far Cry games. The graphics are not only very realistic but gorgeous! I love exploring huge caves, underwater worlds, and climbing to the top of mountains, only to find surprises! I also love the vast variety of animals, but I don't like that I have to kill them. Yes, it's just a game, but it just feels so real!
The towers are fun, as each one is a different experience. Taking over rebel camps is always a welcome challenge, especially since each camp is different in location, size and amount of enemies.
The multiplayer feel tight and the maps are great.
The map builder is something I enjoyed a lot in Far Cry 2, and I can't wait building some more maps!
Overall this game delivers far more value than most all other FPS games for the same prize. This is a definite must for any FPS lover, and in my opinion this is the Shooter of 2012!
