I like the multi a lot. I think contrary to what other says, there is some new and refreshing ideas, and I think Ill be spending quite a bunch of time on it.

Dont listen to them muli is awesome allot more fun than COD for me

It's fun but it's really hard finding an actual match. Took me 15 minutes and a frozen Xbox to actually get into one with other players.

It's really good, try joining recent players to get into games.

The data decoding thing is a nice touch, it's a rare chance to roll special weapon mods and paint. The gunplay is tight and the hit detection is near flawless, I was actually really impressed that people die the second you shoot them. It beats other games by a mile in that regard.

How? What does it do different? Nothing really. It is a crappy watered down version of CoD that you are lucky to get a game in with the broken match making. It has kill streaks, skills, attachments. Just far less than call of duty. The weapon selection leaves a lot to be desired for a multiplayer game with level unlocks. And then there is the complete idiocy that is the decoding gimmick. Having to wait to minutes to decode a cd for a small xp bonus. How stupid is that? Why not give me the bonus or unlock instantly? Why would anyone on earth think that would be fun for some one to do in a game? And then the amount of time seems to increase exponentially with other save devices that need decoding. 30 minutes for a flash drive? That sounds as fun as watching paint dry. But I suppose they need to give you something to do while you wait in a lobby for hours hoping enough people will limp in to start a game.

Long story short. The multiplayer is garbage. If you want something that plays like CoD then get CoD. FC should have done something unique instead of trying to copy CoD.

I like how the streak rewards don't reward you for kills, they reward you for team actions. A kill is just one point, a revive is 6, battlecry is 3 per teammate in range and so on.

Also, the hit detection is MUCH better than recent CoDs.

You can get speed boosts to make decode items unlock very quickly, and the better items give you special weapon mods that increase base stats. It's just something to do on the side and it's kind of addicting.

Pretty sure the last two CoDs did something a pretty similar. Also the decoding is not addicting. It is not fun. Why is waiting for something I already earned through playing a match fun? If they want to keep it randomized fine. But having to sit there and wait for it to unlock is just too stupid for words.

Just play games and ask your friends for boosters, I was finishing the 30 minute ones one per game, and you can have up to 3 going at the same time. They finish in no time at all.

If you check up on them at 1/3rd, 1/2, and 3/4 of the way done they'll show you what you are going to get.

I just checked mine on the site, unlocked 2 mods in 10 minutes not even running the game. You can do them online and the time ticks down when you aren't playing.

Well, problem there is I have no friends that own this game at this time. Even if I did I shouldn't have to bug them for these booster things or have to go online to a website to get them to decode. I shouldn't have to wait any amount of time at all. It should just say after a match what I got. There is absolutely no reason for this decoding. It would be tolerable if it was set up to where I went through a list of these things, hit "A" and it gave me whatever the disc had. Even then, that is too much work for something that should be instantaneous. I get that they want to give you random goodies for playing. I am not against that. But the waiting and the menu and just everything about this decoding feature is dumb. It's worse than the planet scanning mini game in ME2.

It's not the same, it requires you to do literally nothing. You don't -need- to go on a website, it just tracks your progress and lets you manage your items if you need to.

I'm sorry the game doesn't satisfy your instant gratification fix.

I have no instant gratification itch. Just not a fan of watching bars slowly fill up to get mods that could help me in the next game. Why should anyone wait for that? If CoD made you wait half an hour after you've leveled up to get something for absolutely no reason would that not annoy you? Does this game just get a free pass because it is not CoD? I really enjoy the SP in this game, it has a few faults. The UI being the biggest. But the multi is really not very good and this decoding gimmick is probably the most stupid, wasteful part of it. But if you enjoy this then you must love to watch paint dry as well.

Uh, you don't sit there and watch it. You go do something, anything. Take a leak, get some food, play another match. I'll be done before you know it.
