Far Cry 2 Video Review

This game has better graphics and more a variety of human enemies than farcry 3. other than that. Farcry 3 is better. If this game had more blood and animals like sharks and crocs, it would of been awesome and better than FC3.

i completed fry cry 3 done all side missions all quest, the game was outstanding loved it from start to finish.

better graphicque but i far cry 1 is better

So buggy and crashy I had to give it up.

Also feels like watered down console shite.

I had a hard time getting into this game at first, because it was hard to know what to do in the beginning. I realized after coming back to the game two times (after putting it down to play other games) that I was approaching the game wrong...for me, at least. I was picking up any mission I was close to which felt aimless and boring. Instead, I am now just going straight through the main story campaigns (after reading a couple things online to explain more about what I'm supposed to do in this game), which is much much more enjoyable and gives a more linear feel (in a good way). I have done a few weapon shop missions to build my arsenal, but I leave the radio tower missions alone now. Ultimately, I still prefer the first Far Cry due to the linear nature that I thought delivered a more fun experience. That's why I'm most excited about Far Cry 3. :)

great review. This the kind of fps I look for, something fresh and creative. Not the cod games that are shoveled out every single year with no thought put into them. Far Cry is great, I love that they always have a survival in the wilderness feel to them.

i just picked this up on PSN , 2 days ago . i am more of a rpg dude , but like the reviewer a couple of posts down said - after the tutorial - your on your own in pretty good stuff especially given the storyline / plot .

Just got it for free on on PSN yesterday, will try it for --FREE-- so good or bad ,you don't look a gift horse in the mouth...hehehe

The game was pretty good to me. If they only wouldve added some more life to the towns, maybe some side activities, a story thats actually there and limit the respawns of the enemies. it wouldve been perfect.

I didn't particularly like the game that much either.

Did not like this game one bit. Totally overrated.

I didn't like this one. You get shot and followed by the enemy every time you pass them away. It's pretty frustrating because sometimes a mission can take you somewhere very far away and when you past an enemy post, you either die or lose your car. So, you need to get another car from another enemy post, so you have to blast again a bunch of enemies and run, hoping that they don't follow you. And all of this you have to do to get to start one new mission. The same thing repeats when you play the mission, end a mission etc. You have to know that enemy doesn't die after five bullets in the head, so it takes long time to get all those enemies killed. It's just not fun to blast you're way every single time you want to do something. I can understand that some people find this a good game, I didn't, so stopped with this one pretty fast.

I`ll play this one again, 1st time I had CRT TV "21, now its full hd Bravia. Got it for free.

I played this on PS3 and really enjoyed my time playing it. Yh it has some sillthing things like enemies attacking you every second, and walking into a village iwth your gun infront of your face. But this game really made combat and mission real fun like the reviewer said. It;s still to date the only fps i've seen that when you shoot an rpg into the air it comes back down within a few second. Also the fire in this game. Its visuallu outstanding and fun to do missions. Oh and its also one of the only games i've played where you can use IED's which is pretty kl.

Great game indeed. Might have to play it again to be prepared for Farcry 3 which i hope won't let me down.

When it comes to mindless, free roaming shooters, Far Cry 2 is fantastic. I enjoyed simply running around and shooting up Africa. That said, the story is trash, and I can't remember the name of one character in the game outside of the Jackal, and that's only because he name is on EVERY loading screen.

I just picked up Far Cry 2: Fortunes Edition on Steam for $4.99. Totally worth the bargain!

@x-2tha-z you must be very easily pleased with any game you play.

This is a horrible game. Enemies take 15 bullets to kill, driving is extremely clumsy, and most of all it could take 2-3 hours just to get to a mission. Skip this at all costs if you want a game that's actually enjoyable to play.

"More diverse landscape than Crysis" - excuse me? The range of this game was all the way from orange sand to white sand. Dunno how this got a 9.

I bought this when it first came out. I loved every minute I spent playing it. It's definitely one of my all time favourite shooters.

@robyy22 Grab it. I got it a while back and never played more than 20 mins 'till yesterday. The first minutes are boring, so I abandoned the game when I bought it. It was a mistake. After the 15-20 minutes of boring gameplay, the game start showing the true face, it's a very solid shooter with a feeling you could probably compare to games like Fallout 3. You have a lot of freedom, decent graphics and gameplay. Yes, it could be better. They never had the courage to take the leap (the settings they chose ask for a more visceral, depressive, realistic take, with civilians, troubling morale choices, etc), but if you can ignore it, the game is really rich and worth much more than the 5 bucks you can grab it for.

Why this game wasn't that good- many boring parts. And, if you leave a place for like 20 seconds, everybody's back, including vehicles. It was tedious. -lol just got back from reading the main good/bad on this game's review. they used tedious too.

I really can't see why a lot of people disliked this game. Everytime I see a pic or watch a video about FarCry 2, I think it was a little underestimated... It looks like a Stalker game, considering the exploration factor versus the shooter moments.

Like the previous poster I just bought this game for 5 bucks. My new rig runs it on ultra 2560x1440 and it looks very up to date. A very enjoyable shooter that's uber value. You wait for the sale: I got this and Battlefield 2 for a total of 15 bucks!

I still haven't finished this game; lent it to a friend after getting it but, after 2 yrs and a couple of months I just got it back. My memory of it is a good one with some really killer night time infiltration on some camps and lots of other trouble making, The fire propagation really is fun to play with and actually useful when dealing with enemies. Grab this game if you missed it, it's cheap now and it's a blast.

Guns getting jammed during gun fights is something i have dealt with in stalker before. It adds an interesting element to the gameplay.

I loved this game. It really makes you feel like a hired killer. It was really fun experimenting with the weaons. I spent hours exploring the environment for diamonds, and golden AKs. Really awesome.
