Oh yeah, bring on the bullcrap gimmick almost-like-a-game train to justify the existence of Kinect. :D
I'd like something like this for the Ps4 music player visualizations though. Ps1 still had the best ones and they could be influenced with your controller. Good times.

The creators of Rock Band blend music and motion in Fantasia: Music Evolved for Kinect.
For those complaining about the name, they are saying it is inspired by Fantasia in that the music seems to be tied to the movements of the wizard/player. This is just Disney branding it of one of their franchises. If you need another name for it, why call it the project this seems to be based on "V-Motion".
Also please stop bashing on NUIs like kinect, they gave it the processor and memory they took out from Kinect V1 and from what we have seen so far is much improved over the last iteration. From a technology standpoint, kinect has a lot of potential for great user experiences. They may not fit into what we generally consider the Hardcore market, but the use of Kinect can actually enhance some aspects of some Hardcore markets like FPSs, Racing games, strategy games, and possibly RPGs as the voice recognition is actually top notch, and specialized use of the cameras can yield very intuitive motion controls. So please look at Kinect with an open mind, and remember all technology take baby steps before they are fully realized like games themselves coming from their humble origins on oscilloscopes (Teenis for Two) to the games we play and ogle at today.
! Spoiler Alert ! XBOX ONE EXCLUSIVE.
Those were some classic Fantasia songs, I dont remember the dubstep section though....
Disney, please stay away from Microsoft, unless you want to fall into the same downward spiral of non existence.
First, what the hell did they do to Fantasia? I don't remember hearing any of this new crap in my movie. Second, this game looks soooooo dumb. Gross...just gross.
They have to make this game super intuitive, easy to mix to make this fun. This is a big challenge for devs.
ryse , and this game are 2 out of 15 exclusive titles for xbox one that using kinect . hahahahahahaha
Hey look another XBone "exclusive", with this a Zumba that only leave 13 more to go out of there so called 15.
What exactly does Bruno Mars' ode to fornication have to do with Bach, Stravinsky and Beethoven? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for this kind of game but let's not sully the Fantasia name with these flavor-of-the-day pop stars.
It can be inspired by Fantasia without actually being called 'Fantasia'. I think that's a title that must be earned and this lineup pretty much disqualifies it in my mind.
@OllieBrown It could be a cool game but sticking the Fantasia label on it seems pretty cynical. The demographic this will most appeal to have likely never seen Fantasia which was pretty much a love letter to classical music and experimental animation.
Oh god. I do like rhythm games, but I hate pop music so much. This game needs more metal imo.
True.. but have you heard this generation's music? All it has is pop. Any artist that has been true to their genre has sold out and have become pop stars. Sad reality.
@Elann2008 I'm not much of a pop fan, at least not today's dance pop. I'm more into modern prog. That said, I have a ton of respect for Kimbra. Her music is kind of prog-pop - accessible and catchy but also quite experimental, influenced by everything from The Mars Volta, to big band swing, to Nina Simone.
I've been Child of Eden this last week. I can see how this would be enjoyable, honestly :-)
Clicked for the cute chick.......regret seeing the name "Disney's Fantasia" used for such garbage.
The scary thing here is that they think there is a market for that kind of crap. (and even scarier, there probably is one).
so dj hero without the turntable and people watching you through a spy camera.
what could possibly go wrong...
Before watching the trailer: Harmonix? SOLD!!
After watching the trailer: What the F*** is this S***!!
I don't know if I should laugh or cry..
but I end up doing both right now.. x'D
If you look at the apprentice name Yensid, you can see that it is disney spelled backwards.
and there goes another xbox exclusive...
Right now we got what... this and zumba fitness for kinnect.
Hum that looks like a killer launch lineup for xbone!
