Great dark humor RPG

User Rating: 9 | Fallout MAC
Fallout is one of the best RPG I have played. I wasn't able to play it for a long time but I remember watching my friends play it in the late 90's and the sick humor got me into it (pip boy comics, taking eye shots at rats with a assault rifle, or getting addicted to chems.) the graphics even for their time were not that great but that isn't what makes a great game. Very few games had great graphics and playability back in the late 90's (diablo, ff7).
The thing that those lacked that Fallout had is that you don't have to follow a direct path in Fallout but in almost all other games you do. The constant time limit in the game is the biggest draw back. It would be more fun if you could wander around after getting the water chip than having to be stuck with just another time limit.
There is a few inovative aspects to it that I find quite enjoyable such as the percentage chance to hit your target (even more indepth if you are going for a certain body shot) which didn't make a lot of sense all the time like when using a sledgehammer.
If you like games with a sick sense of humor and don't care about graphics; just gameplay and story lines than this is the game for you.
