Save up for Anti-Material Rifle and give to Boone then sit back and listen to Ed-E's awesome combat tunes while Boone rapes everything in your path. No need for any bullets, stupid drugs or stimpaks. Or just approach from the rear and kill 2 guards then repair Rhonda and done. Epic fail tip...
super mutant companion didn't do nething. he took off and i had to deal with all the other mutants. i found him at the top talking about "i'm ready" he never followed me, but left after i completed the quest and said 'thanks" some companion he was =/ glitchy game
Another way to reach the top without being to much in danger is to sneak halfway up the mountain, than use a stealthboy to sneak the rest up, then follow the fence at the top till you're next to the tower, find for a place where you'll be close enough to the tower to press e from outside! the fence(hereby effectively going around most enemies) doing so will result tabitha to be at the top of the tower, to enter it find the key under the stairs(next to the door we used to go through the fence), the only flaw in this tactic is that we still need to take out Tabitha, but it's a 1 on 1 now. My road to the top is almost a straight line, that's why i don't mesion these roadblocks(they don't trouble me).
I took Boone and armed with a sniper rifle myself, it was a turkey shoot, with little trouble getting up there. Then simply fix the robot, when Tabitha appears just pick pocket umm her/him it. You'll get the keys needed. My sneak was around 70. Easy.
lol he did it the hard way all he had to do is fix a robot rhonda and the nasty woman will be happy and run off with her LOL!
It is possible to complete this mission without killing a single super mutant. From Neil's shack, sneak northward, passing between the two checkpoints on the road. You'll pass somewhat close to the checkpoint on the right, so you may need a stealth boy (I did it with high sneak and the Silent Running perk). Look for a gap in the rocks that will lead you through an irradiated area to a gate off on your right. Pass through the gate, hug the cliffs wall on your left, avoiding the several centaurs. You'll need to climb up to a rocky promontory, run and jump so that you end up on top of the cliffs. From there it's a short run up to the back side of Tabitha's building, where you can either enter and kill her (she's on the second level- there's a key under the stairs) or enter one of the buildings on the right (careful, there's a roaming nightkin guard) to repair Rhonda, a deactivated mister handy.
always love how so many of gamers you see make 4 ft tall, 60 pound melee females, who go around laying out 400 pound 10ft tall muties using vats. Go fail squad!
How about some actually useful advice? Companions: Bring along Veronica and Rex. Their melee attacks will keep the super mutants off of you, and deal massive damage, especially with a ballistic first for Veronica. Weapons: Because the enemies have a high Damage Threshold, you'll want to use high-damage, slow fire weapons. Think plasma or sniper rifles. Assault carbines or Gatling weapons also work, but bring LOTS of ammo if you use them. Trick: By going inside the middle building on the left, you can find a damaged Mr. Handy. By repairing it, you can avoid the fight with Tabitha and still get all the loot. Trick 2: coming up on the comm tower, you can see a large round structure on your left. It has several (locked) crates with hundreds of caps inside. It also has a radio in the back. If your speech is high enough, you can fool Tabitha into thinking the Super Mutants are rebelling against the Nightkin, and they will start fighting each other, instead of you.
How the hell was this a tip or trick? You just blasted your way to the top lawl. Personally it was funnier repairing Rhonda the Mister Gutsy than just killing Tabitha. A tip would be to show people which companion to bring on certain missions to unlock there extra perks and armor because I had to restart like 3 times because of the conversation bugs.

Well that was utterly useless. This guide pretty much consisted of, take drugs and kill everything. There are several other things you can do to reduce the difficulty of the mission, including bypassing the fight with Tabitha completely.
This wasnt very helpful, but then again i didnt have any problems with this place. Its pretty easy on the PC when you can just quicksave after ever battle.
Well you know what. I beat this mission with Boone and Rex and killed Tabitha with no problem. I did revive the robot down in the basement and as it turned out, he thought I killed Tabitha, which I did :P, and then proceeded to try and kill me which, in turn, cost the robot its life. Don't believe what you hear on every Fallout video. There are many ways you can tackle the quest, but this strategy seems, by far, very unethical.
and if your smart enough you dont even have to attack them... at all, pipboy + lockpickskill, nuff said.
I take this mission later on in the Game- I was with cool guns from Vault 34,and take Tabitha down(and all Nightkins) prety easy.
There's still a bunch of dead Nightkin and stuff on the road up the mountain. I was in such a hurry to get out of the radiation zone I left them without looting their corpses. I guess I'll have to take some Rad-X and go back.
she was not tough, i fixed her robot, and when she was distracted i planted a live grenade on her and BAM! dead.
I went solo on this mission toward the beginning off my game and just picked off every mutant wit whatever weapons i had.. Tabitha went down pretty easy for me cause i found the key behind the stairs and sneaked up on her.
What kind of magical spiked knuckles is he using? I had to light them up with Assault Carbine bullets and spam dynamite and I barely made it past the first group of mutants.
You can complete this quest without killing anything, even best friend Tabitha. Just need to sneak past everyone and repair Rhonda inside the middle house.
